LAST MEETING
Slippery Rock defeated Mercyhurst, 1-0. Tyler Spence recorded her first career SRU goal off passes from Tess Keeley and Sam Thornton.
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Lakers lead the all-time series against Slippery Rock, 14-9-1. The Rock has won six of the last seven contests against Mercyhurst dating back to 2010.
 
PLAYOFF SCENARIO
Slippery Rock sits tied for third place in the PSAC standings and will be looking for a PSAC tournament berth with the season coming to a close. A win over Mercyhurst combined with a Clarion loss/tie over California (Pa.), or a Bloomsburg loss/tie against Pitt-Johnstown, would help The Rock clinch a playoff spot for the eighth consecutive season.

SCOUTING THE ROCK
• LAST TIME OUT – Slippery Rock beat California (Pa.) 3-0 Sunday, Oct. 15. Madison Johnson, Maddy Tletski and Brooke Testa tallied a goal apiece. The Rock defense registered its seventh shutout of the season.
 
DOUBLE-DIGITS – Testa recorded assists on two of the goals last Sunday and even scored a goal of her own. She racked-up three total points for the week giving her 14 total points (four goals, six assists) this season, which ranks tied for eighth in the PSAC.
 
LET TLETSKI LOOSE – After not recording a goal in 2017, Tletski broke free of her scoring drought Oct. 13 against Millersville tallying two goals. She then got loose at California with another score. She now has seven total points (three goals, one assist) good enough for sixth best on the team.
 
FOUR STRAIGHT – Slippery Rock will be looking for its fifth straight victory Wednesday against Mercyhurst. The last time SRU tallied a five-game winning streak was from Sept. 20, 2016 through Oct. 5, 2016, with wins against Mercyhurst, Mansfield, Gannon, Bloomsburg and Pitt-Johnstown. The Rock's current streak of four consecutive wins is it's longest of the season.  
 
• SHUTOUT COUNT – Kylie Downs and Kara Seebacher both recorded playing time in goal against California Sunday. Together, along with The Rock defense, the team tallied its seventh shutout of 2017. Downs' six individual shutouts rank her tied for first in the PSAC in the category.
 
• BEAT THE STREAK – Slippery Rock has now recorded 22 consecutive winning seasons, which ranks seventh in NCAA Division II. The Rock will also aim for its 10th win Wednesday, which would make 20 consecutive years with at least 10 wins.
