SCOUTING THE ROCK

LAST TIME OUT – The Rock suffered an overtime loss to Bloomsburg, 3-2, in a PSAC road matchup on Oct. 14. Bloomsburg received goals from Ali McKay, Alyssa Broadt and MacKenna Mahan. Broadt's score came with less than four minutes left in regulation, followed by Mahan's goal just 53 seconds into overtime. Slippery Rock received goals from
Brittany Morgan and
Hannah Downing, with Krupski adding an assist.

WINNING WAYS – Slippery Rock's nine wins on the year is its highest total since the 2014 season, when the team finished 9-10. With just one more victory, The Rock will secure a winning record for the first time since 1998, when the team finished 8-6.

PLAYOFF PUSH – SRU is currently slotted fifth in the PSAC standings, with the top six teams at the end of the regular season qualifying for the league tournament. The Rock can nearly secure a playoff spot with a win against Mercyhurst combined with a loss by Kutztown against Mansfield. Slippery Rock last qualified for the PSAC tournament in 2014.

Nicole Bream and then subbing in
Maddie Murphy for the second half. In 13 starts, Bream is 4-4 with 36 saves, a 1.70 goals against average and a .750 save percentage. In 15 games played (two starts), Murphy is 5-2 with 34 saves, a 1.63 goals against average and a .723 save percentage.

FRESHMEN TO FEAR – The Rock has had four players crack the top 10 of various SRU freshman record book categories. Ulrich ranks first in shots (55), shots on goal (43), points (24), goals (11) and is tied for fifth in assists (two). Morgan is tied for second in assists (three) and tied for third in points (13) and goals (five). Page is tied for fifth in assists (two). Murphy currently ranks fourth in goalie minutes (557:48) and fifth in saves (34).

SCOUTING THE LAKERS
• Mercyhurst enters the game having lost a PSAC home matchup against Kutztown, 4-0, on Oct. 14.
• The Lakers have received goals from 10 players so far this year. Nicolette Tomani leads the team with eight, followed by Bryna Cook with four and Clare Ahern with three. Leah Rogers, Taylor Balser and Paige Albright have two scores each, followed by Katie Ballew, Alexis Skibitsky, Hayley Skidmore and Jessica David with one apiece.
• Nine players have also recorded assists for Mercyhurst this season. Ahern leads the team with five, followed by Ballew, Balser, Katelyn Smith, Katie Lechner and Christina Mertz with two each. Tomani, Rogers and Skibitsky have all added one helper apiece.
• Three goalkeepers have seen time in cage for the Lakers this season. In 13 starts, Victoria Triaga is 6-7 with 49 saves, a 3.13 goals against average and a .628 save percentage. In three games played, Mikayla Berndt has recorded one save, a 2.65 goals against average and a .333 save percentage. In just over seven minutes of play, Gabby Amico has recorded one save while allowing no goals.
