SCOUTING THE ROCK

Last Time Out: An Indiana (Pa.) goal by Kiersten Zerbe in the fifth minute proved to be The Rock's undoing as IUP held on to defeat Slippery Rock 1-0 on Sept. 17.

• The Mercyhurst game will be the first of three matches The Rock will play this season on the turf at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. Slippery Rock went 1-1 in two games last year at the stadium and is 48-7-5 when playing at its alternate home venue since 2002.

• Slippery Rock has outscored Mercyhurst 19-0 in the last four games of the series. The last time Mercyhurst scored a goal against Slippery Rock came seven years ago in a 2-1 loss to SRU.
