All-Time Series: Millersville leads 17-11-2
Last Played: Nov. 8, 2015 (Slippery Rock won 2-1 in PSAC championship game)

LAST MEETING
Slippery Rock overcame an early Millersville goal in the second minute with second-half goals by Ryan Lutke and Peter Boylan to defeat the Marauders 2-1 and win the 2015 PSAC Tournament championship in Erie, Pennsylvania on Nov. 8, 2015.

SERIES HISTORY
Millersville holds a 17-11-2 edge over SRU in the all-time series. Slippery Rock's win in the PSAC Tournament finals a year ago broke The Rock's three-match losing streak against the Marauders. Since 2008, SRU and Millersville have played in the postseason on five occasions, twice in the NCAA Tournament and three times in the PSAC Tournament.

SCOUTING THE ROCK
• Last Time Out: Slippery Rock and California (Pa.) finished in a scoreless tie at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility.

• Saturday's contest will mark the first game for Rock head coach Steve Small against his former school; Small served as an assistant coach at Millersville under Steven Widdowson for nine seasons from 2007-15. While with the Marauders, Small helped coach Millersville to a 113-57-1 record, two regional championships and one PSAC championship.

• Through four games Slippery Rock has allowed just two goals. That total is tied for the second lowest amount of goals allowed by a Rock team over its first four games since 1983; the 2009 SRU squad gave up one goal to start the year.

• A shutout of Millersville would put this year's team in rare company in the program's history. Not only would it mark just the fourth shutout of Millersville in Rock history, but it would also place the 2016 team in a tie with the 2009, 2006, 1982, 1975 and 1946 teams for the second fewest goals allowed in the first five games of the season; SRU's 1952 team holds the program record with one goal allowed in its first five matches.

• Slippery Rock has not allowed a goal in the first half of a game this season. Going back to the end of last season, Slippery Rock has surrendered just one goal in the opening 45 minutes of its last 10 matches.

• SRU has received excellent play from both of its goalies this season. Jonathan Sharp is 1-2 with 10 saves, a .833 save percentage and a 0.78 goals against average over 231:27. Steven Rerick has six saves and is yet to allow a goal over his two games played (148:33).

• Nick Sodini and Justin Minda are tied for the team lead in goals scored for SRU thus far with one apiece. Sodini and Minda each have one assist as well.

• Sodini leads The Rock with four shots on goal followed by George Oakley (three), Minda (two), Mike Pcholinsky (two), Kyle Boyer (one), Adolfo Segura (one) and Liam Gasparotto (one).

• 16 players remain on The Rock's roster from last year's team that defeated Millersville in the PSAC championship game.

• Rerick is 1-1 against Millersville in his career with seven saves and four goals allowed.

• Josh Allman has the only point of any active Rock player against Millersville, an assist in the 2014 regular-season meeting between SRU and MU. Patrick Sullivan and Enrique Trevino both had shots on goal against Marauders in The Rock's loss to Millersville in the regular season last year.

• SRU enters the weekend ranked second in the PSAC in goals allowed and 12th in goals scored.

Head Coach: Steve Widdowson | 10th season at Millersville (116-58-12)

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS
• Last time out: Millersville couldn't hold on to a two-goal halftime lead as East Stroudsburg scored three of the game's final four goals to earn a 3-3 tie with the Marauders Sept. 13, 2016.

• The Marauders come into Saturday's game having scored the most goals of any PSAC team with 11. However, Millersville's eight goals allowed are the third most in the conference.

• Millersville features a balanced offensive attack with the quartet of Kyle Finsterbush, Jason Burns, Jacob Gosselin and Ethan Woods having all scored two goals apiece through five games. Nick Leinbach, Chris Sosa and Andrei Kin round out the Millersville scoring attack with one goal each.

• Goalkeeper Darian McCauley has started all five games for Millersville and enters the weekend with a 1.53 goals against average, 23 saves, a .742 save percentage and two shutouts.
