SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University field hockey team will play Indiana University of Pennsylvania in a non-conference game at home 1 p.m. Saturday at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

Indiana won at Slippery Rock, 5-2. SRU recorded goals from Kailee Krupski and Courtney Bradshaw. Megan McKay assisted on both Slippery Rock goals. Goalkeeper Nicole Bream entered the final 20 minutes of the game and recorded three saves.

SCOUTING THE ROCK
Last time out: Slippery Rock defeated Seton Hill on the road, 3-1. McKay tallied two goals and an assist while Hannah Shirk recorded a goal. Madison Krajewski tallied an assist on one of the goals. It was SRU's first road win of 2016.
 
• SRU is led on offense by McKay who is second in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in total points (21), goals (nine) and goals per game (1.62). McKay has three assists as well.
 
• Renee Rosenblum, Hannah Downing and Shirk all have multiple goals this season with three, two and two, respectively. Allison Grant, Jordan Barnes, Torri Rose and Savanna Robinson round out the goal scorers this season with one apiece.
 
• The Rock has three players with multiple assists including Krupski (four), McKay (three) and Robinson (two). Krupski's four assists put her tied for second in the PSAC in the category. Rosenblum, Krajewski, Brenna McGovern-Lind and Sam Geroski have each tallied one assist.
 
• Liz Wolfe and Kayla Mack have been forces defensively for The Rock. Wolfe is tied for second in the nation with five defensive saves, while Mack is second on the team with three.
 
• Bream has played every minute in goal thus far in 2016 and is third in the league with 75 saves on 93 shots faced. Bream is also fifth in the PSAC in saves per game (5.77) and has a .758 save percentage.
 
• McKay, Krupski and Michelle Couch each have one career goal against Indiana. McKay has also tallied two assists in games against the Crimson Hawks.

• The Crimson Hawks are led offensively by Selena West who has total of 13 points this season off six goals and one assist. Amber Bailey is second on the team in scoring with six points thanks to three goals.
 
• IUP has three other multiple goal scorers this season including Madelyn Mullen, Matti Reightler and Sarah Zielinski, who all have two goals.
 
• Mullen, Reightler and Olivia Young each have two assists, while West, Brianna Lubarsky, Ericka Griffith, Kalista Gioglio and Bryn Nelson each have one.
 
• Defensively, Young has recorded two defensive saves while Emma Smiley has registered one.
