SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – With just three games remaining in the regular season, the Slippery Rock University women's soccer team will look to make a strong final push towards the postseason with a road victory against Mansfield University Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Last Time Out: Caitlin Binder drove in her third game-winning goal of the season to beat Edinboro 1-0. Binder's goal came with under two minutes to play. Goalkeeper
Annabelle Hegeman led another great Rock defensive effort with five saves in the shutout (

California's Chelsea Crockett played in a ball off the crossbar to give the Vulcans a narrow 1-0 victory against Mansfield. Mountie goalie Alana Greenawalt stopped 14 shots in the loss (

Records and Rankings: Slippery Rock's 10
th NCAA Tournament appearance, and fifth consecutive berth, is well within reach after The Rock was ranked sixth in the initial NCAA Division II regional rankings that were released by the organization earlier in the week.

Charleston was slotted first in the region followed in the top 10 by West Chester, Kutztown, East Stroudsburg, Notre Dame, The Rock, West Virginia Wesleyan, Shepherd, Indiana and California. The top six teams in the region at the conclusion of the season will qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

Slippery Rock, which enters the weekend at 10-3-1 overall, 9-3-1 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play and with 28 conference points, is one of five teams to have already clinched a spot in the PSAC Tournament. West Chester, East Stroudsburg, California and Kutztown have also secured berths in the conference tournament, leaving three remaining spots up for grabs.
Slippery Rock is 22-9-5 in true games dating back to the 2011 season.

Scouting Slippery Rock: With its win over Edinboro, Slippery Rock has now recorded at least 10 wins in a season for 17 consecutive years. SRU has finished with fewer than 10 wins just four times in the program's 22-year history.

Slippery Rock has allowed just eight goals this season, the second fewest in the PSAC. The school-record for goals surrendered in a season is 12, which was set by the 2013 team.

Individually,
Andrea Felix is ranked 20
th in the nation in assists with eight while Hegeman's .593 GAA ranks 32
nd among all NCAA Division II goalkeepers. For the season, Felix leads Slippery Rock with 13 total points off of five goals and her aforementioned eight assists while Hegeman has been The Rock's goalie of record for all 14 games and has recorded a league-high seven shutouts and made 53 saves (.869).

The senior duo of
Ali Brosky and
Nicole Krueger are tied for the team lead with six goals apiece. Felix and
Tess Keeley have both netted five goals and are tied for second while Binder (four goals),
Dara Demich (three) and
Leslie Henny (two) have all produced multi-goal years as well.

In addition to Felix's eight assists, the trio of Keeley, Binder and
Brooke Edwards have also done a great job setting up The Rock attack thus far. Keeley has five assists and Binder and Edwards both have four.
Scouting Mansfield: Five of the Mounties (3-11-1, 2-11-1 PSAC) 11 losses this season have come by just one goal. Brielle Filtch and Nicole Wynne have guided the Mansfield offensive attack this season with three goals each while Kelsey Chapman has assisted on three of the Mounties 13 goals. Greenawalt has started 14 of 15 games played and is 3-10-1 with 87 saves (.757) and a .201 GAA.

Head Coaches: Now in her 20
th season in charge of the Slippery Rock program, head coach
Noreen Herlihy owns an impressive 249-107-30 record. A win on Saturday would move Herlihy into elite company as she would be one of just 11 head coaches in NCAA Division II women's soccer history to amass 250 career wins.

Herlihy has guided The Rock to a lengthy reign of success that is rare among college programs. On her watch, Slippery Rock has produced 19 winning seasons, nine years with at least 14 victories, three PSAC championships and nine NCAA Tournament berths.

Tim Dempsey is in his 13
th season in charge of the Mansfield soccer program. He entered the 2014 season with a career record of 43-140-18 with the Mounties.
Series History: Not only is Slippery Rock a perfect 7-0 all-time against Mansfield, it has also never allowed a goal against the Mounties.

Last Meeting: Slippery Rock scored four times in the second half to secure a 4-0 shutout victory against Mansfield on Oct. 19, 2013. Demich scored twice while Felix and
Cailin Conner both scored once. Felix also added one assist for the three-point game (
