The breakthrough came in the 39th minute when
Leslie Henny sent a cross into the box for
Cailin Conner, but a Seton Hill defender kicked the pass into her own net for an own goal that put SRU up 1-0 at the break.
The passing got more crisp in the second half and The Rock tilted the field for much of the final 45 minutes, including earning a free kick in the 73rd minute.
Lauren Impey took the free kick and played a ball over the wall to
Allison Harbart, who passed in front to
Caitlin Binder for an easy tap-in goal to make it 2-0 in favor of Slippery Rock.
It looked as if the Griffins had a chance to get on the board with just under three minutes to play, but a shot into an empty net missed wide and hit the post.
