SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's soccer team will open Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play Saturday when league newcomer Seton Hill visits Mihalik-Thompson Stadium for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

Records: Slippery Rock enters Saturday's PSAC opener with an unbeaten record of 3-0-1 and is the only team in the PSAC that has not lost a game yet.
Seton Hill, competing in its first season in the PSAC, is off to a 3-1 overall start and a 2-0 mark in conference play to sit atop the early PSAC standings.
Rankings: Slippery Rock was one of a handful of teams mentioned in the "receiving votes" category of the NCAA Division II national rankings this week. A win Saturday, coupled with the recent win over West Virginia Wesleyan, could move The Rock into the top-25.
Scouting The Rock: Slippery Rock is outscoring opponents 7-1 and outshooting the opposition 69-50.
The Rock's back four of
Joshua Gray,
Josh Brake,
Declan Brennan and
Ryan Boylan have allowed just 18 shots on target in four games.
Zach Hall leads the team in scoring with two goals and one assist, while
Michael Ramirez has two goals, both coming in a 2-1 double overtime win over West Virginia Wesleyan earlier this week.
Stephen Donnelly has one goal and two assists and
Peter Boylan and
Stephen McConahy each have one goal to cap the goal scorers.
Scouting the Griffins: Seton Hill is outscoring opponents 10-6 despite being outshot 64-48 in total shots and 35-28 in shots on goal.
Bovey Masiole leads the team with four goals and one assist, while Joe Tchimou has two goals and one assist and Tevor Martz has one goal and two assists.
Harrison Howes has chipped in one goal and one assist and Matt Sangermano and Matt Luchetti each have one goal to cap the goal scorers.
Goalkeepers: Joe Agerskow has played every minute in goal for Slippery Rock so far this season and is 3-0-1 with three shutouts. He owns a 0.23 goals against average and a .944 save percentage, both of which are the best in the PSAC and rank in the top-10 nationally.
Jordan Sodhi has played every minute in goal for Seton Hill and is 3-1 with a 1.43 goals against average and a .829 save percentage.
Streaking: The Rock has been outstanding defensively, posting 12 shutouts in the last 25 games and going unbeaten in 21-of-25. SRU has only trailed in six of the last 25 games.
Head Coaches: Michael Bonelli is in his fourth season at the helm of the Slippery Rock program. Bonelli has posted a record of 32-19-10 during his SRU tenure. He has led the program to two berths in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoffs and one appearance in the conference title game.
Dan McCarty is the only head coach in men's soccer history at Seton Hill after taking the job in 2002 when the program was added. He has ties to the PSAC having earned in undergraduate degree from Indiana University (Pa.).
Series: Slippery Rock has never lost in the series between the two teams, owning a 5-0 edge, including a 6-1 win last season at Slippery Rock.

Joe Agerskow, who allowed the lone Griffin goal, a shot that deflected off the cross bar and in from Joe Tchimou.
Jordan Sodhi made four saves and allowed three goals in the loss for Seton Hill before giving ay to Scott Matthews, who also allowed three goals.
Slippery Rock posted advantages of 19-11 in total shots, 12-5 in shots on goal and 5-2 in corner kicks in the game.
