CALIFORNIA, PA -- The Rock won one and lost two in this weekend's Vulcan Dual Meet Invitational hosted by California University of Pa.
SRU defeated Mansfield by a 92-52 score Saturday afternoon after it lost to the host team by an 89-37 score Friday night and dropped an 86-42 decision Saturday morning vs. Lock Haven.
The results gave the Green and White a 2-4 dual meet record this winter.
The Rock returns to action Feb. 1, when it will compete in the University of PIttsburgh Invitational.
Merideth Grusek (50 breaststroke, 36.16),
Lauren Hervatin (500 freestyle, 5:43.43),
Jessica Kieler (100-yard butterfly, 1:07.58) and
Amanda Lancki (100 individual medley, 1:11.00) each garnered one first-place finish to pace The Rock's winning effort vs. Mansfield.
The quartet of Lancki, Grusek, Kieler and
Raquel Woerner teamed up to win the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:27,09.
Grusek won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:50.69 to highlight The Rock effort vs. Lock Haven. She also finished second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 58.50.
