IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll  |  Academic Honor Squads
 
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Slippery Rock University women's lacrosse team and 12 individual student-athletes were honored recently when the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its annual Academic Honor Roll and Academic Honor Squads.
 
In order for a team to be named an Academic Honor Squad, the collective GPA of all student-athletes on the roster must be above 3.20. The Rock posted a 3.664 GPA following the 2025-26 academic year, which was the highest of all lacrosse teams in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference for the fifth straight year.
 
In addition to the team honor, Isabella Buono, Ava Dossier, Ava Drath, Paige Jenkins, Ella Koslowski, Erin Melcher, Reagan Richeson, Grace Rotter, Gemma Sciarroni, Sydney Ulmer, Shannon Von Kaenel and Brooke Walters were named to the Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a cumulative GPA above 3.50.
 
Only juniors, seniors and graduate students are eligible for the individual academic honor from the IWLCA. Drath, Koslowski, Melcher, Rotter and Ulmer become two-time selections to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
 
There were just six other programs in all of Division II that had more members of its roster qualify for the Academic Honor Roll than SRU.
 
This marks the second team academic award handed out to the SRU lacrosse team this summer after it previously won the PSAC Team GPA Award for the 2025-26 academic year. The Rock also produced two College Sports Communicators Academic All-America selections in Jenkins and Rotter.
 
In addition to its success in the classroom, Slippery Rock put together a historic season on the field in 2026 that included a perfect 17-0 regular season, a 20-game winning streak and the second-best overall record among all schools in the country. Only national champion Florida Southern at 21-1 managed a better overall record than Slippery Rock's 20-1 overall mark. The Rock were one of just four programs in the nation to reach 20 wins this spring.
 
The 20-win season included a second straight undefeated Western Division title in the PSAC and the first overall PSAC title in program history. It also marked the third straight season that the program has set a new record for single-season wins after posting 15 wins in 2024, 18 wins in 2025 and now 20 wins in 2026.
