Rock lands six on Academic All-District At-Large team

Six members of the Slippery Rock women's lacrosse team were named to Academic All-District honors when the College Sports Communicators announced the Academic All-District At-Large teams Tuesday.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's lacrosse team placed six student-athletes on the Academic All-District Team when the College Sports Communicators announced the 2025-26 Academic All-District At-Large teams Tuesday.

The Rock are represented on the team by Isabella Buono, Cadyn Eismann, Paige Jenkins, Reagan Richeson, Grace Rotter and Shannon Von Kaenel. Jenkins and Rotter become two-time honorees, while the other four selections pick up their first Academic All-District award.

In order to be nominated for the Academic All-America program and selected to an Academic All-District team, student-athletes must be at least sophomores in academic and athletic standing, must appear in at least 90 percent of their team's games or start at least 66 percent of the games, must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and should have significant athletic credentials.

The sport of women's lacrosse does not have its own Academic All-America team and is instead included in the "At-Large" program, alongside other women's sports: beach volleyball, bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, rifle, skiing, water polo and wrestling. Schools can nominate up to six total women from that list of sports. A national committee then decides which student-athletes advance to the ballot for the Academic All-America team.

Slippery Rock advanced five of its six Academic All-District honorees with Buono, Jenkins, Richeson, Rotter and Von Kaenel all advancing to the Academic All-America ballot. Rotter (first team) and Jenkins (second team) were both named to Academic All-America honors last spring as well and are looking to become two-time honorees.

A look at the academic and athletic accomplishments of The Rock's six Academic All-District selections can be found below. Voting by the nation's athletic communication professionals will take place over the next week and the Academic All-America team will be announced July 7.
