THE FIRST TIME AROUND
Slippery Rock secured a Senior Day victory over Pitt-Johnstown in PSAC West action, 2-1, Sept. 12 at James Egli Field.
Jordyn Constable scored her first career goal, and
Abby Paterline grabbed the game-winner for Slippery Rock, while
Bailey McGee and
Chloe Flynn both picked up one assist each.

LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock claimed another late-game victory in PSAC West action via Palermo's 88
th minute game-winner in a 1-0 contest against Clarion under the lights Wednesday night at Memorial Stadium.
Palermo scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season, including her fourth game-winner of the season and the eighth of her career. The senior is now tied for eighth place in SRU history with two other players for the most game-winning goals.
Libby Earley picked up her second assist of the season on Palermo's goal.
Palermo led all players with eight shots, including four on goal. Price (4), Paterline (4), Earley (3) and Battalini (3) also took multiple shots for The Rock. Deivert, Los, McGee and
Bella Gianfrancesco rounded out Slippery Rock shot takers with one apiece.
Allman was not forced to make a save in her 23
rd career clean sheet and her 42
nd career victory.
The Rock put constant pressure on the Golden Eagles for the full 90 minutes, but found their game-winner in the 88
th minute from Palermo on SRU's final shot of the game.
Slippery Rock ended the game with advantages in shots (26-2), shots on goal (10-0) and corner kicks (12-0).
RECEIVING VOTES
Slippery Rock entered the receiving votes portion of the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 poll released this Tuesday. The Rock are the sixth team on the list of teams receiving votes and are looking to become ranked in back-to-back seasons for the first time since the 2013-14 seasons. Palermo's game-winner was scored in 88
th minute of the contest again Clarion, marking the second game in a row that Slippery Rock grabbed a game-winner in the final three minutes. In SRU's 2-1 win at Edinboro, McGee secured a brace and the game-clincher with six seconds remaining.
A LOOK AROUND THE PSAC WEST
Slippery Rock currently sits in a tie for first place in the PSAC West with 25 points after the win against Clarion. The Rock are deadlocked in a tie with Gannon University, who also has 25 points on one more game played than SRU.
Lock Haven and Indiana University (Pa.) hold a share of the third spot in the division with 17 points apiece, as Seton Hill University follows the Bald Eagles with 16 points in fourth place. The rest of the PSAC West standings sit as follows, Edinboro (15), Clarion (12), California (Pa.) (6) and Pitt-Johnstown (2).
PSAC TOURNAMENT SPOT AROUND THE CORNER
Slippery Rock is approaching a spot in the PSAC Tournament with six games still remaining. The Rock would move closer to this with a win against Pitt-Johnstown and an Edinboro loss or draw against Lock Haven, as the Fighting Scots sit in sixth place in the PSAC West, 10 points behind SRU with five games left on its schedule.

Palermo leads The Rock in points with 12 on five goals and two assists in 12 games played. Battalini trails Palermo with 11 points on four goals and three assists, while McGee and Los round out Slippery Rock's top trio of point scorers with nine points apiece.

PITT-JOHNSTOWN SCOUTING REPORT
The Moutain Cats enter the matchup with The Rock holding a 1-9-2 record overall and an 0-8-2 mark inside the PSAC West. Pitt-Johnstown won its second game of the season against West Virginia Wesleyan College, 4-1, but has gone its last 10 games without a win.
Senior forward Sarah Henry leads Pitt-Johnstown in goals (3), assists (3) and points (9). Rylee Fry (two goals and two assists) joins Henry as the only UPJ players with multiple goals and assists.
Freshman goalkeeper Gianna Cardillo has started eight games in goal for Pit-Johnstown, holding a 1.96 GAA and a .746 save percentage on 47 saves and 16 goals allowed.
LOOKING AHEAD
Slippery Rock returns to James Egli Field for its penultimate home game of the season against Seton Hill 3 p.m. Oct. 14 at James Egli Field. The match against Seton Hill will be Slippery Rock's Breast Cancer Awareness Game.
