YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Slippery Rock University women's indoor track & field team recorded five Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks, one NCAA provisional mark and four top 10 finishes at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational hosted by Youngstown State University this weekend.

The Rock women only took part in the first of the two days of action at YSU with a select group of athletes competing Friday evening that included the pole vaulters, multi-event athletes and select distance runners.
Â
Gwen Lloyd was the highest finisher for The Rock with a fifth place showing in the 5,000-meter run in a PSAC qualifying time of 18:29.02.

The Rock's distance runners also earned a top 10 showing in the distance medley relay with the foursome of
Kayla Hanna,
Marissa Smalheer,
Madison Smalheer and
Jennifer Cichra combining to post a ninth place finish in 12:53.37.

Leighanne Swan led the multi-event group in the pentathlon with a 10th place finish and a score of 3,343 points.
Autumn Wyatt was 13th with 3,134 points and
Maddy Miller was 14th with 3,081 points. Wyatt also recorded a new career-best and NCAA provisional mark in the long jump with a leap of 5.78 meters, which ranks No. 1 in the PSAC this year. Swan also hit the PSAC standard in the long jump with a mark of 5.37 meters.

Allie Taylor led the way in the pole vault with a 10th place showing and a clearance of 3.62 meters.
Kylie Eismann also met the PSAC standard with a mark of 3.47 meters and a 14th place finish.

The majority of The Rock team is competing Saturday at the University of Mount Union. A full recap from that meet will be available late Saturday night or Sunday morning.
