SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team looks to continue its undefeated start to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division play with a win against Clarion 4 p.m. Wednesday at James Egli Field.
Slippery Rock sits with a 2-2-1 record overall and a 2-0-0 mark in the PSAC West. The Golden Eagles currently own a 0-4-1 record overall and a 0-1-1 PSAC West record.

PSAC WEST SUCCESS
Slippery Rock has started 2-0 in the PSAC West for the third time in the last five seasons. The Rock started 2-0 in conference play in 2021, 2023 and 2025 in that timeframe.

During her fast start to 2025, Salisbury ranks inside the top 10 in multiple PSAC categories. The senior from Arona, Pennsylvania, ranks eighth in the PSAC in goals per game with 1.75 and 10th in total goals with three.
Palermo, a junior from Wexford, Pennsylvania tops the PSAC game-winning goals with two. The two game-winners have come in back-to-back games for Palermo.

GOING FOR THREE IN A ROW
If Salisbury or Palermo find the back of the net against Clarion, then they will be the first Rock player to score at least one goal in three straight games since Rachel Edge in 2021. Edge accomplished that feat two separate times in 2021, including scoring in five straight games to open that season.
REGIONAL RANKINGS
The most recent regional rankings of 2025 have been released by the United Soccer Coaches and The Rock sit in ninth place in the Atlantic Region. Slippery Rock is one of eight PSAC schools in the rankings. Bloomsburg University, Shepherd University, Kutztown University, and West Chester University represent the PSAC East, while Gannon University, Indiana University (Pa.) and Edinboro join Slippery Rock in representing the PSAC West. CLARION SCOUTING REPORT
The Golden Eagles have struggled out of the gate in 2025. Clarion currently sits with a 0-4-1 record overall and are 0-1-1 in the PSAC West. The Golden Eagles were shutout for the first time this season in their latest loss against Indiana University (Pa.), 3-0.
Forward Ciara DiMauro has impressed to begin her junior season. DiMauro has three goals and two assists for eight points in just four games. DiMauro leads Clarion in goals and points, while being tied for the assist lead. Hailey Dobb is tied with DiMauro for the Clarion lead in assists with two.
Sage Sherk has started all five games in goal for Clarion. The junior from Myerstown, Pennsylvania has compiled 29 saves, while allowing 15 goals, totaling for a .659 save percentage and a 3.0 GAA
