INDIANAPOLIS – Seven members of the Slippery Rock University men's and women's track & field teams were announced Tuesday evening as official qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Division II Track & Field National Championships that will take place May 22-24 at Colorado State University Pueblo.

Slippery Rock will be represented by four men and three women at the national meet with four of the accepted entries returning to nationals and three others set to make their outdoor nationals debut. Â

The women's team will be represented by
Anna Igims in the 3,000-meter steeplechase,
Sarah Corrie in the shot put and
Isabella Bartoletti in the javelin. Igims and Corrie are returning to nationals, while Bartoletti will be making her first appearance at nationals.

The men's squad will be represented by
Kanye Thompson in the 100-meter dash,
Drew Layton in the pole vault,
Seaton Wozniak in the shot put and
Logan Anderson in the decathlon. Thompson and Layton are heading back to nationals after also competing last spring, while Wozniak and Anderson will make their outdoor national debut.

The National Championships are set to begin Thursday, May 22 and run through the evening Saturday, May 24 at the CSUP Thunderbowl in Pueblo, Colorado. A quick look at each of the SRU accepted entries can be found below. The full meet schedule is available

ANNA IGIMS
Event: 3,000-meter steeplechase
Prelims Date: Thursday, May 22 – 8:40 p.m. (ET)
Finals Date: Friday, May 23 – 9:15 p.m. (ET)

Igims earned first team All-America honors at nationals last spring with a seventh place finish to mark her first career All-America recognition. She will enter the competition this year as the No. 5 seed with her SRU record of 10:17.13.

SARAH CORRIE
Event: Shot Put
Finals Date: Saturday, May 24 – 3:15 p.m. (ET)
Â
Corrie will be returning to nationals for the second year in a row after also competing in the shot put last spring, where she placed 17th in her first trip to the outdoor national meet. She enters the competition this year as the No. 17 seed after setting a season-best of 14.73 meters while winning the PSAC title last week.

ISABELLA BARTOLETTI
Event: Javelin
Finals Date: Saturday, May 24 – 1:30 p.m. (ET)
Â
Bartoletti will be making her debut appearance at nationals after saving her best for last this spring. She took second at the PSAC Championships last week with a career-best throw of 45.17 meters and that was the exact mark it took to qualify as Bartoletti was the final accepted entry as the No. 22 seed in the javelin.

KANYE THOMPSON
Event: 100-meter dash
Prelims Date: Thursday, May 22 – 8:25 p.m. (ET)
Finals Date: Saturday, May 24 – 8:50 p.m. (ET)

Thompson is returning to nationals for the second straight spring after making his debut at nationals in 2024 when he finished 16th in the 100-meter dash. He will enter the competition this year as the No. 4 seed after shattering the SRU record with a time of 10.13 seconds to win the PSAC title last week.

DREW LAYTON
Event: Pole Vault
Finals Date: Thursday, May 22 – 1:05 p.m. (ET)
Â
Layton is set to make his second straight trip to the outdoor national meet after earning second team All-America honors last spring with a 10th place finish in his freshman season. He improved to a first team All-America status this winter when he took sixth at the indoor national meet back in March. Layton enters the meet seeded eighth with his season-best effort of 5.13 meters leading him to the PSAC title last week.

SEATON WOZNIAK
Event: Shot Put
Finals Date: Saturday, May 24 – 7:05 p.m. (ET)

Wozniak will be making his outdoor nationals debut and his second trip to nationals this spring semester after he also qualified during the 2024-25 indoor season. He took 15th at the indoor national meet in his first appearance at nationals. He will enter this meet seeded 16th with his season-best throw of 17.82 meters.

LOGAN ANDERSON
Event: Decathlon
First Day: Thursday, May 22 – Begins at 12:30 p.m. (ET)
Second Day: Friday, May 23 – Begins at 11:30 a.m. (ET)
Â
Anderson will be making his debut appearance at nationals after qualifying in the decathlon as a true freshman. He earned his spot after setting a career-high score of 6,949 points in the most competitive decathlon in PSAC history last week. The PSAC meet produced four of the top 13 scores in the country this year with Anderson set to enter the competition seeded 13th.
