WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – The Slippery Rock University men's track & field team recorded two NCAA provisional marks, 19 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks and won eight events at the Tim Weaver Invitational hosted by West Liberty University.

The Rock took three of the four throwing event wins with
Seaton Wozniak leading the way with an NCAA provisional mark in the shot put with a winning toss of 16.93 meters.
Logan Parker was second with a personal best of 16.24 meters and
Joshua Gose took third at 16.20 meters as SRU swept the top three spots. Wozniak was also second in the discus with a throw of 45.47 meters.

Dan Hyatt recorded the other NCAA mark when he won the pole vault with a clearance of 4.85 meters to lead SRU to a 1-2-3-4 sweep of the top spots.
Drew Layton was second (4.70m), followed by
Logan Gossard (4.55m) and
Bradon Schneider (4.55m).

Zach Gose won the hammer throw with a toss of 54.51 meters to lead SRU to three PSAC marks in the event. Gose also took third in the discus with a throw of 44.47 meters.
Ryan Oleksy was third in the hammer at 50.97 meters and
Andrew Demko was fourth at 49.48 meters.

Josh Kingerski picked up a win to lead a 1-2 sweep in the javelin with a throw of 56.96 meters.
Joseph Reed followed closely in second at 56.90 meters.

Zack Duda led three SRU multi-event athletes to top five finishes in the decathlon with a winning score of 5,935 points.
Ethan Folmer took fourth with 5,282 points and
Jacob Stucchio took fifth with 5,037 points.

The final PSAC qualifying mark in the field came from
Jason Alderson, who was second in the triple jump with a leap of 13.81 meters.

John Jusynski led four SRU men to a PSAC mark in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to lead the way on the track. He took the win in 9:33.94.
Troy Hart was fourth in 9:46.64, followed by
Michael Gauntner in sixth at 9:57.73 and
Eli Schreiber in seventh at 10:02.63.

Micah Good closed out the individual wins with a victory in the 400-meter dash in 49.63 seconds. Good then closed the meet by teaming with
Trey Huha,
Jacob Thompson and
Kyle Rauchut to win the 4x400-meter relay in 3:22.07.

Slippery Rock will now shift its focus to the first home meet of the season as The Rock will host the Dave Labor Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
