STANDINGS CHECK
The match against Clarion marks the fourth game of the second slate of round-robin play in the PSAC West. Slippery Rock sits atop the Western Division with 30 points, two points ahead of No. 9 Gannon University. While SRU has already secured a postseason berth, it is still fighting for postseason seeding and a potential division title. This match is huge for Clarion's postseason hopes, as the Golden Eagles hold the fifth and final PSAC Tournament with Pitt-Johnstown just three points behind them.

PSAC TOURNAMENT BOUND
Slippery Rock clinched a spot in the PSAC Tournament with its 3-1 win over Edinboro and Pitt-Johnstown's 2-1 loss to Clarion on Oct. 18. This is the 15th season in a row that Slippery has made the PSAC Tournament. SRU won two PSAC Championships in that span in 2012 and 2019. No. 9 Gannon, Indiana University (Pa.) and Edinboro join Slippery Rock with clinching spots in the PSAC Tournament from the Western Division.

All five spots in the PSAC East have been clinched with No. 16 West Chester University, Shepherd University, No. 21 Bloomsburg University, Kutztown University and Millersville University claiming spots. Although the seeding order is still to be determined over the final four games of the regular season.

SIX-GAME WINNING STREAK
Slippery Rock has now won six consecutive games, marking the program's second longest winning streak over the last five years. Over its six-game winning streak, SRU is outscoring its opponents 13-1. With a win against Clarion, Slippery Rock would match its longest winning streak since it won seven games in a row in 2023.

APPROACHING THE TOP 10
With a win or tie against the Golden Eagles, The Rock would be on a seven-game unbeaten streak, jumping into the top 10 longest unbeaten streaks in Slippery Rock history.

The program record for an unbeaten streak happened during the end of the 2010 and beginning of the 2011 season, where SRU went on a 16-game unbeaten run. In the 2010 NCAA Tournament quarterfinals, Slippery Rock tied No. 8 California (Pa.) and lost in a penalty kick shootout, but the game officially went down as a draw.
