LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's track & field team recorded eight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks at the Bison Outdoor Classic that wrapped up Sunday from Bucknell University.
 
The Rock sent just seven men's distance runners to Bucknell, while the rest of the team competed either at Susquehanna or Westminster earlier in the weekend. The Bison Outdoor Classic is one of the largest meets in the region and one of the top meets for distance runners in the region every year.
 
Ethan Brentham headlined the SRU performances with a 13th place showing in the unseeded section of the 10,000-meter run Saturday night, where he clocked a time of 31:10.22.
 
Troy Hart dropped a sub-15 minute time in the 5,000-meter run to place 60th in the invitational section of the event with a time of 14:53.80.
 
John Juszynski recorded a PSAC qualifying time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a 32nd place showing in 9:37.89.
 
Devon Navaroli hit a pair of PSAC marks over the two days of action, clocking times of 1:56.26 in the 800-meter run and 4:01.66 in the 1,500-meter run. He was joined in the 1,500m by Joseph Cintavey, who lowered his season-best in the event to 3:53.31.
 
The final PSAC mark of the weekend came from Brady Hoffman, who clocked an 800-meter time of 1:56.91. Ryan Corbitt narrowly missed the PSAC standard in 1:57.95.
 
Slippery Rock will bring its full team back together next week for the John Papa Invitational hosted by SRU Thursday afternoon.
