Results

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Slippery Rock University freshman Logan Anderson won the heptathlon with an NCAA provisional qualifying score to lead a group of seven Slippery Rock multi-event athletes at this weekend's Early Season Multi meet hosted by Susquehanna University.

Anderson broke the facility record at Susquehanna to win the seven-event heptathlon with a score of 4,922 points, topping the NCAA provisional standard of 4,745 points in his collegiate debut. He also hit the PSAC automatic qualifying mark in two individual events with a long jump mark of 6.83 meters and a 60-meter hurdle time of 8.47 seconds. His overall score ranks No. 2 in the PSAC and No. 14 in Division II so far this winter.

Anderson led a trio of SRU men to top six showings with Zack Duda placing third with a score of 4,659 points and Jacob Stucchio finishing sixth with a score of 4,098 points.

The Rock also sent four women to compete in the five-event pentathlon, where Maddy Miller led the group with a sixth place showing with 2,631 points. That effort currently sits fifth in the PSAC this winter. Leighanne Swan was eighth with 2,588 points, followed by Autumn Wyatt in 10th with 2,468 points and Kate Walasavage in 13th with 2,122 points.

The multi-event athletes were the only SRU athletes competing this weekend after SRU made a late addition to the schedule following the cancelation of Edinboro's multi meet last week.

The Rock will break now for the holidays and will return to action Jan. 25 at the Ashland Invitational.
