SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University volleyball program will host three separate summer camps this year, head coach
Laurie Lokash announced Friday.
The Rock will first host an adult co-ed camp June 9-11 followed by a team camp July 7-9 and a girl's individual skills camp July 9-12.
The co-ed camp is for adults ages 21 and up. The camp will emphasize individual skill development as well as basic volleyball team concepts and culminate with a competitive 6-on-6 tournament. The team camp will provide attendees with instruction from top area high school and college coaches. The SRU volleyball coaching staff is committed to training athletes by providing each player with the opportunity to learn and enhance the fundamental skills of volleyball. Quality instruction is given in conjunction with competitive opportunities. The objective of the camp, in addition to skill development, is to emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork and fun. A maximum of 18 teams (high school varsity, junior varsity or club) will be accepted. More information on the team camp is available

The individual skills camp is designed for all girls in grades 6-12. The camp will provide attendees with instruction from top area high school and college coaches and college players. The camp offers a solid program that combines instruction on individual and team skills while providing attendees with an opportunity to train at their own level. SRU CO-ED VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Times: Friday: 3-9 p.m. Saturday: 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday: 7 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Location: Aebersold Student Recreation Center
For: Adults age 21 and up
Description: The camp offers a solid program that combines individual and team skill development, while providing campers with the opportunities to train at their own level. The enrollment for the camp is limited to 80 athletes in order to provide a positive, quality experience for each camper.
Cost: Resident: $250 Includes instruction, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), lodging, and a camp t-shirt.
Commuter: $225 Includes, instruction, lunch and dinner only, and a camp t-shirt.

SRU GIRL'S TEAM VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Dates: July 7-9
Location: Aebersold Student Recreation Center and Morrow Field House
For: A team is defined as a minimum of seven players (preferably eight to 10) from the same school or club who can play all required positions. It is recommended that no more than 12 players comprise a team. Each team must be accompanied by a coach.
Description: The team camp will provide attendees with instruction from top area high school and college coaches. The SRU volleyball coaching staff is committed to training athletes by providing each player with the opportunity to learn and enhance the fundamental skills of volleyball. We teach the game by providing quality instruction in conjunction with competitive opportunities. The objective of the camp, in addition to skill development, is to emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork and fun.
Cost: $200/player
