Volleyball announces 2026 summer camp dates

The Slippery Rock volleyball program has announced plans to host two camps over the summer – individual skills (July 5-8) and team (July 8-10).

Volleyball Summer Camps

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University volleyball program will host two separate summer camps this year, head coach Dylan Lasher announced Tuesday.

The Rock will first host an individual skills camp July 5-8 followed by a team camp July 8-10. To register for either camp visit HERE or follow the links at the top of the page.

The individual skills camp will provide each attendee with the opportunity to learn and enhance the fundamental skills of volleyball. The camp staff will teach the game by providing quality instruction in conjunction with competitive opportunities. The objective of the camp, in addition to skill development, is to emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork and fun.

The individual skills camp is designed for girls entering grades 7-12 at a cost of $380 for overnight stay (Includes camp instruction, access to facilities, overnight accommodations, all meals and a camp t-shirt) or $350 for daily commuters (Includes camp instruction, access to facilities, breakfast, lunch, dinner and a camp t-shirt).

A maximum of 16 teams (high school varsity, junior varsity or club) will be accepted into the SRU Girl's Team Volleyball Camp. For camp purposes, a team is defined as a minimum of seven athletes (preferably 8-10) from the same school or club who can staff all required positions. If there are more than 12 athletes on a team, it is recommended that the team be split into two squads.

Each team must be accompanied by a coach. Coaches are required to attend the entire camp in order to coach their teams during competitive play and assist during tactical training.

For further questions regarding SRU volleyball camps contact either head coach Dylan Lasher (dylan.lasher@sru.edu) or assistant coach Raquel McDonald (raquel.mcdonald@sru.edu). Slippery Rock University Student Center & Conference Services may be reached at 724.738.4926.
