SCOUTING THE ROCK
LAST TIME OUT

The Rock suffered a 2-1 loss to PSAC West opponent Pitt-Johnstown Sept. 17 at James Egli Field. Morgan Sarver netted SRU's lone goal of the contest while Emma Yoder made four saves over the entirety of the match.

ROAD TRIP SUCCESS
Since Jessica Giegucz's inaugural season, SRU has compiled a 32-16-8 (.571) record in PSAC matches played on the road. In those 56 contests, Slippery Rock has outscored its opponents by an impressive +45 margin (101-56) while recording 20 shutout victories and 37 contests holding its competitors to no more than one goal.

DEFENSIVE STAND
As a team, The Rock are tied for fifth in the conference in goals allowed with just seven. The Slippery Rock defense has come up huge when it matters most, holding its competition to just one second-half goal this year.

Aiding in the strong defensive efforts is Yoder who is tied for sixth in the conference in saves (31), tied for seventh in goals against average (0.88) to go along with a .816 save percentage. Yoder has claimed three shutouts so far this year.

OFFENSIVE OUTPUT
Leading the SRU offensive attack is Swope with three points on one goal and one assist. Following are five players who have also tallied a goal this year in Sarver, Rea, Jaime Dermotta, Faith Diffenbacher and Brooke Riefenstahl.

Rounding out the offense is Patrick with two assists as well as Kylee Kosek and Julia Mascaro with one assist each.

The SRU offense has been solid at making scoring opportunities as it ranks fourth in all of Division II in corner kicks with 66.

GOAL GETTERS
Last Saturday's goal against UPJ was the first in the collegiate career of freshman Sarver. Dermotta is the remaining SRU player from this year to tally her first career-goal, when she helped pace The Rock to a 2-1 win in their season opener against West Virginia Wesleyan College Aug. 25.

CONSISTENT STARTERS
Slippery Rock has had a consistent lineup over its first eight contests with seven players making eight consecutive starts in Dermotta, Diffenbacher, Kosek, Patrick, Rea, Riefenstahl and Swope. Mascaro and King have started all but one contest thus far while Sarver, Olivia Yoder and Skylar Munnikhuysen have made appearances in all eight contests.

PSAC STANDINGS CHECK
Through their first six conference games, The Rock currently ranks eighth in the PSAC West Standings with four points. The top four teams in both the PSAC West and PSAC East standings at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for the conference tournament.

While Slippery Rock currently finds itself on the outside looking in, there is still plenty of time left for SRU - 10 league games - for The Rock to position themselves for an 12th consecutive trip to the PSAC Tournament as they are only five points away from climbing all the way into a tie for fourth in the division with Seton Hill and Indiana (Pa.).

PROGRAM HISTORY UPDATES
For her career, Yoder ranks second in program history in saves (207) as well as third in goalie wins (33), starts by a goalie (53) and shutouts (22). She currently ranks eighth in Rock women's soccer program history in consecutive games started and with 11 regular season games remaining, she is on pace to finish her collegiate career fourth all-time.

Swope is currently tied for 12th in career assists and is just two away from advancing past Danielle Cooper (2005-07) for 11th.
