MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's cross country team swept the top three individual places and took the team title at the Allegheny Classic hosted by Allegheny College Saturday.

The Rock won the team competition with 19 points, comfortably finishing ahead of runner-up Allegheny with 43 points. Indiana (Pa.) was third with 83 points, followed by Thiel with 130 points and Grove City with 144 points. A total of eight complete teams posted scores and 72 individuals finished the race.

Ethan Brentham led the sweep at the top of the standings for Slippery Rock with a victory in the race after covering the 4-mile course in 20:52.
Troy Hart followed in second place in 20:57 and
Shannon Dooley took third in 21:19.

Devon Navaroli was the fourth SRU runner across the line in fifth place overall in 21:49 and
Michael Novak capped the scorers in eighth place in 21:59.

Noah Johnson finished in 10th in 22:22 and
John Juszynski was 13th in 22:30 as The Rock put all of their top seven finishers in the first 13 finishing places.

Slippery Rock will compete next Saturday for the second week in a row when it travels to Lock Haven University for the LHU Invitational.
