ALL TIME SERIES vs. CLARION
Slippery Rock claims a sizable 55-42 lead in the all-time series over Clarion dating back to 1920. SRU has won six of the last 10 meetings between the two teams with three of those victories being at Tippin Gym.
 
LAST MEETING
The Rock defeated the Golden Eagles 65-62 earlier this season on Jan. 8 at Morrow Field House. The game was a true team victory as SRU was forced to play without star center Jamiyah Johnson for the final nine minutes. Johnson still finished the contest with a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Slippery Rock fell 74-62 on the road to No. 14 Gannon University Monday. Deleah Gibson headlined The Rock's efforts with 17 points featuring four made 3-pointers as well as two assists and two steals.

A LOOK AROUND THE ROCK'S LEADERS
• Johnson remains the leader for SRU in multiple categories of the game featuring a stat line of 18.9 points per game, 15.6 rebounds per game, 1.4 steals per game, 1.3 assists per game and 1.1 blocks per game. Johnson ranks first in the PSAC in rebounding and second in scoring.
 
On the national stage Johnson is first in Division II in double-doubles (16), offensive rebounds per game (6.2) and rebounds per game. For her career, Johnson also ranks fourth in double-doubles (60) and fifth in rebounds (1,198) in the NCAA regardless of division.
 
• In 15 starts, senior guard Daeja Quick averages 12.8 points, 4.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game while playing a Division II best 39.0 minutes per game. Quick being on the court is vital to The Rock's success as SRU averages 18.1 turnovers per game with her in the lineup, but a catastrophic 31.5 turnovers when she does not play.
 
• Through 16 starts and 17 games played overall, Kennedy Middleton helps SRU everywhere on the floor scoring 8.9 ppg while collecting 5.8 rpg, 2.9 apg and 1.5 spg. Middleton has now tallied at least one steal in eight SRU's last 10 games.
  
• In 15 appearances with 13 starts, Anyah Curd provides The Rock with 7.6 ppg in addition to ranking second in rebounding (6.1). A threat to stretch the floor from her forward position, Curd ranks second on the team in made 3-pointers with 15.
 
• In 14 games, all of which have been starts, Gibson has made a team-high 23 3-pointers while scoring 8.1 ppg. Gibson has also tallied 17 steals this season having made at least one in SRU's last nine contests that she has played in. Gibson has begun to dial in her shot as of late, making six of her last 13 3-point attempts (.462).
 
Bella Long has continued to contribute as a 3-point threat on Slippery Rock's roster. The freshman has made at least one 3-pointer in The Rock's last five games and is shooting a team high 53.8 percent (14-of-26) from distance on the year.
 
• Isabellah Middleton averages 9.0 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.8 spg and 1.3 apg in 12 appearances, nine of which have been starts. She has scored 10 or more points in a game in six of her last 10 contests. After making just one steal in SRU's first five games, Middleton has averaged 2.5 steals per contest in the last eight games she has been a part of.
 
Jordan Kaufman has come off the bench in each of The Rock's last four games to make three of her six 3-point attempts.
 
JUST THE FACTS
• The Rock continues to play solid defense through 16 games. Overall SRU has held its opponents to a .379 field goal percentage and has outrebounded its competitors by a +65 margin (688-623) overall including a +44 margin (474-430) in defensive rebounds.
 
Johnson and Curd who combine for 60 percent (31-of-51) of The Rock's rejections have powered SRU into having made at least two blocks in each of the last 10 games.
 
• Slippery Rock made a season-high 10 3-pointers in its upset bid at nationally ranked Gannon. Overall, SRU produced its second highest field goal percentage over its last 10 when The Rock shot 41.2 percent from the floor vs. the Golden Knights.
 
• SRU has regained control on the offensive end, after being forced into 63 total turnovers against Millersville University and California University (Pa.), it made 17 miscues in its most recent contest at Gannon.
 
Conversely, The Rock has made at least five steals in all of their games this season except two.
 
• After struggling from the foul line to open the season, SRU has shot no less than 70 percent in five of its last six games.
 
RECORDS CHECK
With her six assists at Gannon, Quick moved up to 13th in program history for assists in a career with 236. She is now 17 away from passing Kristen Danihy (1987-91) for 12th all-time.
 
With her two steals Monday, Quick tied Lisa Beinecke (1992-96) for 18th at SRU in career steals with 103.
 
AGAINST CLARION
The senior duo of Johnson and Quick are the only Rock players to have played extended minutes in multiple meetings with Clarion. Quick in four starts against the Golden Eagles averages 7.6 ppg, 4.8 apg, 2.6 rpg and 1.0 spg. Johnson in two contests against CU, one of which while at Davis & Elkins, averages 21 ppg, 14 rpg, 1.5 spg and 0.5 bpg.
 
In The Rock's matchup with Clarion earlier this year, five other players saw at least 15 minutes of playing time in Isabellah Middleton (13 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal), Long (9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal), Kennedy Middleton (8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal), Gibson (5 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal), and Kaylin Venick (4 points, 1 rebound).

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Last Time Out: Clarion suffered a 74-46 loss on the road at PSAC West leader Seton Hill in their second meeting of the season Jan. 29.
 
Clarion is led by Sierra Bermudez who ranks fourth in the PSAC in 3-point shooting at 36.1 percent while averaging 14.9 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.6 apg.
 
The remaining double-digit scorer for the Golden Eagles is Cory Santoro with 12.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg and 1.0 apg. Rounding out the leaders is Jada Smith who ties Quick for second in the PSAC for steals with 2.5 per game while tallying 8.7 ppg, 7.3 rpg, and 1.7 apg.
 
Santoro led Clarion against The Rock earlier in the year with a game-high 24 points thanks in part to four made 3-pointers.
 
Powered by the third highest mark in the PSAC of 6.8 made 3-pointers a game, The Golden Eagles average 60.4 points while allowing a PSAC-high 70.2 ppg this season. Teams are also shooting a PSAC-best 43.0 percent against Clarion this year.
