When hosting the Vulcans, The Rock are 14-5 and have outscored Cal by a +27 margin (50-23) while holding California to no more than one goal in 12 of those matches.

SCOUTING THE ROCK
LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock extended its unbeaten streak to seven with a 3-1 win over Pitt-Johnstown on the road Oct. 15. Ashley Rea paced The Rock's offense with two goals while Olivia Yoder netted her first goal of the season. Julia Mascaro and Morgan Sarver each made one assist in the match. Yoder aided in the win, making two saves and allowing just one goal over 90 minutes.

PSAC TOURNAMENT PICTURE
Following its 3-1 win over UPJ, Slippery Rock advanced to third in the PSAC West standings with 19 points behind division co-leaders Mercyhurst (28) and Gannon (28).

SRU enters the week ahead of Seton Hill University (18), Pitt-Johnstown (14), California (14) and Indiana University (Pa.) (12) while Edinboro (8) and Clarion (8) round out the standings.

The top four teams in the PSAC West and East at the end of the regular season qualify for the conference tournament.

While a win Wednesday would not clinch a PSAC Tournament berth, SRU would put itself in a strong position to secure a 12th consecutive appearance in the conference tournament in Saturday's home finale.

HOME FIELD HEROES
Under head coach Jessica Giegucz, Slippery Rock is a commanding 43-16-8 when welcoming its opponents to James Egli Field. In those 67 contests, SRU has outscored its competitors by a +86 margin (138-52) in addition to claiming 25 shutout victories.

UNBEATEN STREAK
With its win over Pitt-Johnstown, Slippery Rock matched its ninth-longest unbeaten streak in program history with seven. The last time SRU went unbeaten through seven consecutive games was during the 2019 season.

With three games remaining in the regular season, SRU could enter any potential postseason matches with the fifth longest streak in program history without a loss at 10 matches.

STRONG REGULAR SEASON FINISH
Since beginning the second leg of its round-robin PSAC West schedule, Slippery Rock has yet to lose to a divisional opponent. If SRU remains undefeated in its conference matches to finish the season, it will mark the first time in the last three seasons that The Rock have swept the second half of their divisional schedule.

CONFERENCE CONFIDENCE
SRU's win over the Mountain Cats was its 11th conference game of the season unbeaten. This marks the ninth consecutive season in which The Rock have been undefeated in at least 11 of its PSAC matches.

Overall, Slippery Rock has produced six winning PSAC West records under Giegucz and holds a 72-26-19 (.615) mark in conference competition.

NO STRANGER TO WINNING
As a program, Slippery Rock is just one win away from having earned its 26th consecutive season with a winning record. The last time SRU was unable to come out with a winning record at the end of a season was 1995.

DEFENSE WINS GAMES
The solid Slippery Rock backline are 10th among all Division II in save percentage (.878) in addition to being tied for fifth in the PSAC in goals allowed (10) and fifth in the conference in opponent scoring average (.63).

The SRU defense has proven tough over the final 45 minutes of contests as it has allowed only two second-half goals through 15 contests. Additionally, The Rock have only given up two total goals over its last seven games.

Pacing the Slippery Rock defense is Yoder who in the conference is tied for second in shutouts (8), second in saves (64), third in save percentage (.865) and fifth goals against average (0.63).

OFFENSIVE OUTPUT
Rea, SRU's scoring leader, became the first Rock player this year to net two goals in one game following SRU's 3-1 victory over UPJ. Rea has now extended her point total to nine on four goals and one assist.

Fellow senior, Kayla Swope follows Rea with six points on two goals and two assists while Dermotta is SRU's other multi-goal scorer with two on the year.
