SCOUTING THE ROCK
LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock battled Mercyhurst University to its fifth scoreless tie of the year, extending its unbeaten streak to five games. Leading The Rock's offense was Patrick placing three of her five shots on target. SRU goalkeeper Yoder made five saves over the contest to preserve the shutout.

GOING FOR HISTORY
Following two shutouts last week, Slippery Rock has now matched the program's second-best shutout streak of five from the 2018 season. The longest shutout streak for the program was an 11-game run during the 2011 season.

Additionally, The Rock have allowed only seven goals over 13 contests, if they were to shutout the Crimson Hawks, it would mark the first time allowing no more than seven goals over 14 matches since the 2011 team allowed just six during that time frame.

ROAD TRIP RESUME
SRU has improved its conference record on the road to an impressive 34-16-8 (.586) under head coach Jessica Giegucz. The Rock has outscored those opponents by a sizable +47 margin (103-56) while claiming 22 shutout wins and 39 contests allowing no more than one goal.

This season alone, Slippery Rock has compiled a 2-1-2 mark in PSAC West play on the road. Of those five matches, both of SRU's wins have been shutouts and the team has allowed just two total goals.

DOMINANT DEFENSE
The Slippery Rock defense has posted a strong season as it ranks eighth in Division II in save percentage (.894) as well as being tied for third in the conference in goals allowed (7) and third overall in the PSAC in opponent scoring average (.54).

Backing such a solid defense is Yoder, the reigning PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week, who is third in all of DII in shutouts as well as 10th in save percentage (.885). In the conference, she is third in both goals against average (0.54) and saves (54).

On the year, The Rock defense has made five team saves by players other than Yoder. Notable defenders for SRU who have proved key in those efforts include Riefenstahl, Faith Diffenbacher, Nina King and Libby Zacharyasz, who all have started at least 11 games on the SRU backline.

OFFENSIVE OUTPUT
Continuing to lead the Slippery Rock offense is Swope with six points on two goals and two assists. Over 13 games, Swope has yet to go longer than four straight contests without scoring a goal. Following is Ashley Rea with five points on two goals and one assist. The duo of Swope and Rea have accounted for 39 percent (28-of-72) of SRU's shots on goal.

Close behind are Patrick with four points on one goal and two assists as well as Jaime Dermotta with four points on two goals. Dermotta also leads the team in game-winning goals with two.

Sharing identical stat lines are Maddie DeLucio and Morgan Sarver, each with three points on one goal and one assist.

Rounding out Rock goal scorers are Diffenbacher, Riefenstahl and Skylar Munnikhuysen each with one.

Mascaro leads Slippery Rock in assists with three while Kylee Kosek has tallied her two points on a pair of assists.

PSAC WEST STANDINGS CHECK
SRU has claimed sole possession of the all-important fourth spot in the division standings with 15 points. The top four teams in both the PSAC West and PSAC East standings at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for the conference tournament.

Slippery Rock is behind Seton Hill (17), Mercyhurst (22) and Gannon (24) with five regular season contests remaining. The Rock, which are one point ahead of both Pitt-Johnstown and California in the standings, will look to hold or improve their position to make a 12th consecutive trip to the post season.
