WHERE WE LAST LEFT OFF
Prior to having its last five games postponed due to COVID-19 protocols, Slippery Rock extended its current winning streak to four with its win over Clarion, marking the second winning streak of at least four games in a single-season for SRU for the first time in the last 23 years.
ALREADY A SEASON FOR THE AGES
Slippery Rock is off to one of the best starts in program history. Not only does this year's team already possess the fifth-highest win total over the last 12 seasons, SRU's 10-3 record is tied for the fourth best start in program history. Only the 1999-00 (12-1), 1974-75 (12-1) and 1982-83 (11-2) Rock teams produced better records through their first 13 games.
Additionally, SRU's 5-2 PSAC record is tied for the program's best conference mark through seven games over the last 26 years and is the fourth-best seven-game start to a league schedule in school history trailing only the 1982-83 (7-0), 1985-86 (6-1) and 1995-96 (6-1) teams.
