SRU Volleyball Camps
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University volleyball program will host two separate summer camps, head coach
Laurie Lokash announced Friday.
Â
The Rock will first host an adult co-ed camp June 25-27 followed by a girl's individual camp July 5-7.
Â
The co-ed camp is for adults ages 19 and up. The camp will emphasize individual skill development as well as basic volleyball team concepts and culminate with a competitive 6-on-6 tournament. Campers will receive dinner on Friday, lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.Â
Â
The individual camp is designed for all girls in grades 6-12. The camp focuses on individual skill development (passing, setting, hitting, blocking, serving and individual defense) as well as basic volleyball team offensive and defensive concepts. Attendees will receive a t-shirt and a box lunch each day. The camp will also end with a competitive 6-on-6 tournament.
Â
While there is no on-campus housing for the camps allowed due to protocols, there are many local hotel options available in Butler County (Click
