LAST MEETING
Slippery Rock and Edinboro met earlier this season on Sept. 29 resulting in a, 4-1, Rock victory. Julia Macaro, Georgia Nagucki, Sydney Patrick and Ashley Rea all scored goals in the victory while Rachel Edge assisted on two goals.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Slippery Rock holds a commanding 23-5-8 lead in the all-time series over Edinboro. The Rock has won seven of the last 10 meetings while also forcing two ties. SRU is an impressive 11-1-5 against the Fighting Scots in games played at Edinboro.

SCOUTING THE ROCK
LAST TIME OUT: Slippery Rock defeated PSAC opponent California University, 5-1, at James Egli Field to clinch a spot in the PSAC Tournament.
 
REGIONAL RANKINGS: Slippery Rock was ranked eighth in the Atlantic Region by the NCAA Division ll Women's Soccer Committee in the first set of NCAA regional rankings released earlier this week.
 
The regional rankings are the only official ranking used by the NCAA to determine which teams from each of the eight regions will qualify for the 56-team NCAA Division ll playoffs.
 
The top seven teams in the Atlantic Region in the final set of rankings will earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament. The tournament champions from the PSAC and the Mountain East Conference will both earn automatic bids with the five at-large bids from the region being determined by the rankings.
 
PSAC PLAYOFFS ON HORIZON: With two regular season matches remaining, its win over California clinched a bid in the PSAC Tournament and kept Slippery Rock (31) one point behind PSAC West leader Gannon University (32), who has also clinched a spot, in the conference standings.
 
SRU maintains a three-point lead over third place Mercyhurst (28) and extending a nine-point lead over fourth-place Edinboro University (21).
 
The top four teams in the PSAC West and PSAC East standings at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for the conference tournament. Slippery Rock has qualified for the PSAC Tournament in each of the last 10 seasons and 17 of the last 20 years dating back to the 2000 season. 
 
MINDA ON THE MOVE: With Jordyn Minda's start against Cal U, she has started 57 consecutive matches in her time at The Rock which moved her into sixth place in the SRU history for consecutive games started in a career. She can potentially end her career tied fourth at the end of the regular season with 59 total starts.
 
Minda tallied five points on two goals and one assist in Wednesday's victory over the Vulcans. On the year, Minda ranks second on the team in total points with 18 on seven goals and four assists. She enters the weekend ranked 11th in program history for career goals (22) as well as 17th in career points (55).
 
KEEPING THE EDGE: Edge continues her strong season by not only excelling in the conference, but in SRU history. Edge continues to leads the PSAC in points (28) and goals (11) and lands second in assists (6).
 
With her goal against Cal U, Edge moved to sixth in The Rock's record book for career goals (27) while remaining sixth in points (75) and assists (21).
 
OFFENSIVE PACKAGE: The Rock's impressive offense production which has outscored their opponents 42-14 this season consists of 10 different players who have scored at least one goal through 16 matches in Edge (11), Minda (7), Kayla Swope (6), Nagucki (5), Patrick (5), Rea (3), Megan Sikora (2), Faith Diffenbacher (1), Mascaro (1) and Olivia Yoder (1).
 
Along with goal scorers are a group of 12 players who have had a hand in setting up a goal with at least one assist: Edge (6), Swope (5), Minda (4), Patrick (3), Mascaro (3), Nagucki (3), Sikora (3), Katy Ericson (2), Nina King (2) and Emily Arnold, Maddie DeLucio and Reagan Reeves with one each.
 
ROCK SOLID DEFENSE: The Slippery Rock defense remains a solid force that has held its opponents to under one goal a game (0.88) and just 60 shots on goal as well as only allowing 37 corner kick attempts this season.
 
Opponents have scored multiple goals against SRU just three times this season. Across program history, Rock teams have finished a season allowing three multi-goal games or less four times: 2013 (1), 2005 (2), 2011 (3) and 2002 (3).
 
SRU's defense is led by goalkeeper Emma Yoder who on the season has made 44 saves to go along with a .759 save percentage and a 0.85 goals against average. She currently ranks third in the PSAC West in GAA and second overall in the PSAC in shutouts (6).
 
In the SRU career record book, Yoder sits fourth in shutouts (17) while landing sixth in saves (156) and holding third place in wins (31).
 
IN THE NCAA: As a team, SRU ranks 12th in Division II in assists (33) while landing 15th in goals (42) and points (117). Edge ranks 15th in points as well as 17th in goals nationally.
 
AGAINST EDINBORO: Numerous Rock players have found success in past meetings with the Fighting Scots. Nagucki has two goals and an assist while Edge has collected a goal along with an assist as well as Mascaro, Minda, Patrick, Rea and Swope all with a goal apiece. Yoder has earned three wins while making 18 saves and allowing 5 goals.

The Fighting Scots are led on offense by Brittnie Spithaler with four goals and two assists, followed by Reece Enochs with three goals and two assists and rounded out by Morgan Wissner with four goal.
 
Edinboro goalkeeper Anna Voelker has made 50 saves with a .735 save percentage and 1.31 GAA.
 
In the previous meeting between The Rock and Fighting Scots, Hayden Paxton scored Edinboro's lone goal.
