All-Time Series: Cal U leads 57-27
Last Played: Feb. 2, 2019 (Slippery Rock won 72-61 at home)

ALL-TIME SERIES
California owns a 57-27 lead over The Rock in the all-time series, but Slippery Rock has narrowed the gap between the two PSAC West foes as of late. A year ago, SRU and Cal U split a pair of games with the Vulcans first winning at home, 78-72, before The Rock snapped a 35-game losing streak to California via a 72-61 win at Morrow Field House.

SLIPPERY ROCK PRIMER
• Overall Record: 3-9
• PSAC Record: 1-5
• PSAC West Standings: Tied for Eighth
• Home Record: 0-2
• Away Record: 3-6
• Neutral Site Record: 0-1
• Streak: L1
• Last 5 Games: 1-4
• Head Coach: Bobby McGraw | Sixth season (60-91)

LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock is coming off of a tight 63-60 road loss at Clarion. The Rock and Golden Eagles exchanged the lead 20 times before Clarion was able to close out the game by making four straight foul shots down the stretch.

QUICK HITS
• Madison Johnson has made seven of her last 16 3-point attempts over The Rock's last five games. She has also pulled down 7.2 rebounds per game over the same stretch.

• Seven of The Rock's 12 games this season have been decided by nine points or less.

• Brooke Hinderliter has averaged 15.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game over her career against California.

• Slippery Rock starts the week leading the PSAC in free throws made (215) and ranking third in free throw percentage (.762) and fifth in rebounding (39.2 rpg).

JOHNSON TAKING OVER
No Rock player has been more consistent on offense for The Rock this season than Johnson, who has scored at least 10 points in all 12 contests this year.

For the season, Johnson has averaged 16.4 points per game while shooting 45.3 percent from the field to go with a 79.3 free throw percentage and a team-best 15 made 3-pointers. In addition to her scoring prowess, Johnson is also second on the team in rebounding (5.7 rpg) and assists (1.3 apg).

Johnson showed her ability to take over a game against Clarion when she scored 11 of The Rock's 13 points in the third quarter on the way to her game-high 22 points.

BOUNCE-BACK GAME FROM QUICK
Daeja Quick enjoyed a bounce-back game for The Rock against Clarion.

After averaging just 6.0 points and 2.0 assists while shooting 26.9 percent (7-for-26) from the field over Slippery Rock's previous three games, Quick returned to the starting lineup against Clarion to go for 19 points on 46.7 percent shooting while dishing out four assists and making two steals.

The Rock's third leading scorer and top ball distributor, Quick heads into the California contest with per game averages of 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.3 steals.

GIBSON CONTINUES TO CRASH THE BOARDS
LeeAnn Gibson recorded her third double-digit rebounding performance of the season in The Rock's loss against Clarion with a career-high matching 13-rebound effort.

If she were to record a double-digit showing on the glass against Cal U., Gibson, who ranks third in the PSAC with 8.2 rebounds per game, would become just the fifth player for The Rock over the last 12 seasons to record at least 10 rebounds in three straight games.

Gibson also scores 8.0 points per game for Slippery Rock this season, which ranks fourth on the team.

HINDERLITER CONTINUES TO CLIMB ALL-TIME POINTS LIST
Hinderliter enters the Cal U game ranked sixth in program history for points in a career with 1,429.

Hinderliter, who is averaging  19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game on the season, is on pace to finish her career with 1,733 points which would rank second in program history record for points in a career behind only Heather Kearney (1,760 points / 1995-99).

Currently she is 20 points away from surpassing Jackie Altenweg (1,449 points / 1998-02) and moving into fifth place in program history for points in a career.

DOESN'T HAPPEN TWICE
After scoring just eight points against Clarion, it's a safe bet to expect a big time scoring output from Brooke Hinderliter.

Dating back to her sophomore season, Hinderliter has not been kept under 10 points in consecutive games. She has been stellar in contests following games when she has been held under 10 points with an average of 18.8 points per game (11 games).

A YEAR AGO AGAINST THE VULCANS
Slippery Rock split a pair of games against the Vulcans last year. After losing its first game of the season vs. Cal U on the road, 78-72, The Rock got the best of the No. 10 Vulcans at Morrow Field House, 72-61. Hinderliter, Gibson and Johnson were all great for The Rock over the two games against California a season ago.

Hinderliter averaged 28.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals over the two games while Gibson went for 11.0 points and 5.0 rebounds as well as Johnson averaging 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds.

As a team, Slippery Rock shot 47.3 percent (53-of-112) from the field in the two games while holding California to just a 33.3 percent (47-of-141) showing from the field.

APPROACHING THE 500/500 CLUB
Thanks to what has been a career-year, LeeAnn Gibson is currently on pace to become just the 17th player in program history to record 500 points and 500 rebounds in career.

Entering the California game, Gibson has scored 525 points and grabbed 411 rebounds. With 16 games remaining in the regular season she needs to average 5.5 rebounds per contest the rest of the year to achieve the feat.

ROUNDING OUT THE ROTATION
Rounding out The Rock's typical eight-player rotation along with Hinderliter, Johnson and Gibson is fellow starter Karington Ketterer and top reserves Anyah Curd, Olivia Fusaro and Kasch Harris.

Ketterer has started all 12 games this season while providing The Rock with 3.6 points and 4.8 rebounds per game as well as seven blocks and just under one steal a contest.

Off the bench, Harris routinely spells Quick as SRU's lead guard while Fusaro serves as Slippery Rock's first off guard off the bench. Curd is SRU's top post reserve. A true freshman, Curd currently averages 3.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and a team-high 10 blocks.

• Overall Record: 10-2
• PSAC Record: 4-2
• PSAC West Standings: Fourth
• Home Record: 6-0
• Away Record: 3-2
• Neutral Site Record: 1-0

• Last 5 Games: 3-2

California has also been stellar this season on the offensive glass with a PSAC-high 16.3 offensive rebounds per game.

• The Vulcans feature a balanced offense in which three players average at least 11.0 points per game in Monica Burns (14.8), Bianca Jasper (11.5) and Shauna Harrison (11.3). Burns, a Wheeling University transfer, and Harrison have combined to make 49 of California's 84 3-pointers this season. Harrison also leads the team in rebounding with 5.7 rpg.
