LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock lost at home to No. 1 Indiana University (Pa.), 90-54, on Jan. 12.

QUICK HITS
• Slippery Rock is 5-1 this season when heading into halftime with a lead.

• The Rock's 14.3 turnovers per game are the fourth lowest total in the PSAC.

• A key for SRU snapping its four-game losing streak is to break out of its shooting funk. Slippery Rock has failed to shoot better than 31.5 percent from the floor in three of its last four games with the outlier being a terrific 53.4 percent shooting night from the field against No. 16 California.

• Simply put, The Rock needs to make shots. Overall, SRU has shot 34.1 percent (91-for-267) during its current losing streak compared to a 46.8 percent (101-for-216) showing in its four-game winning streak that proceeded the recent losses.

A CHANCE FOR SEPERATION
The top six teams from the PSAC West in the league standings at the end of the year earn bids to the PSAC Tournament and with the majority of the Western Division having 13 league games left in the season the conference tournament picture is slowly starting to take form.

Indiana (8-0), California (7-1) and Edinboro (6-2) all seem poised to earn berths relatively easily, but all signs are pointing to a battle for the final three seeds as The Rock, Seton Hill, Pitt-Johnstown and Mercyhurst will begin the week in a four-way tie with matching conference records of 4-4 with Gannon not far behind at 3-6.

In terms of league records, the upcoming week will provide SRU the chance to separate itself from the pack as it plays divisional foe Clarion (1-7) and crossover counterpart Mansfield (0-9), the current last place teams in the PSAC West and PSAC East Standings. Meanwhile, Seton Hill (vs. Mercyhurst, at California), Pitt-Johnstown (vs. Cal., at Mercyhurst) and Mercyhurst (at SHU, vs. UPJ) will all face stiff competition.

HENDERSON BECOMES THE PSAC'S TOP REBOUNDER
Henderson secured her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds against No. 1 IUP and in the process became the PSAC's top rebounder at 8.6 rebounds per game. Henderson has been on a tear on the glass as of late with an average of 12.5 rebounds per game over SRU's last six contests.

PATTERSON ON A HISTORIC PACE FROM DEEP
At the halfway point of the season, Ciara Patterson has made a team-high 32 3-pointers. If she were to continue her pace she'd end the year with 64 triples, the fourth most in a single-season in program history. Patterson, currently ranks eighth in school history with 113 made 3-pointers over her career.

BOUNCE BACK GAME ON DECK FOR HINDERLITER
Hinderliter was held to just eight points against IUP; if history is any indication she is due for a big game against Clarion. Over the last two years, Hinderliter has been kept under 10 points seven times. She has scored no fewer than 13 points in contests following each of the seven games. All told, Hinderliter is averaging 17.6 points per game in games following sub 10-point showings.

STARTERS CARRYING THE OFFENSIVE LOAD
Slippery Rock's starting lineup of Patterson, Henderson, Hinderliter, Gibson and Daeja Quick have accounted for 82.3 percent of The Rock's offensive production over the last eight games (449 of 541 points).

For the year, Hinderliter leads The Rock, and ranks sixth in the PSAC, in scoring at 18.9 points per game. Patterson is SRU's second leading scorer at 12.4 points per game followed by Quick (8.9), Henderson (8.3) and Gibson (7.5).

Hinderliter is also shooting 47.7 percent from the field while compiling 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.

Patterson leads SRU defensively with 1.4 steals per game while Quick is The Rock's leader in assists at 2.6 per game.

Gibson has scored at least 10 points in three of The Rock's last four games and is shooting 58.3 percent from the field this year.

OFF THE BENCH
Madison Johnson has served as The Rock's top reserve over the last eight games. As the first player off of SRU's bench she has averaged 5.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while playing just over17 minutes a contest. Johnson has secured 20 rebounds (5.0 rpg) over The Rock's last four games.

CURRENT ROCK PLAYERS vs. CLARION
• In four games over her career against Clarion, Hinderliter has averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

• Henderson has played six games against Clarion during her collegiate career and has went for 9.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest, including a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double.

• Johnson had one of the better all-around games of her Rock career a year ago against Clarion with 17 points, seven assists and five rebounds in a 68-53 victory. Patterson has also took part in two games against Clarion, averaging 15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals versus the Golden Eagles.

HOME SWEET HOME
28 of Slippery Rock's 51 wins (54 percent) in the last five years have come at Morrow Field House. Overall in the last five years, SRU is 28-32 (.467) at home while only 23-42 (.353) in games away from Morrow Field House.

KEEP IT UNDER 70
70 has become a magic number for The Rock this season, as they are 6-0 when allowing under 70 points and 0-6 when allowing at least 70 points.

In six wins this season, Slippery Rock is allowing 65.8 points per game, with opponents shooting 37.6 percent from the floor and 31.1 percent from 3-point range. However, in eight losses this season, SRU is allowing 85.4 points per game, with opponents shooting 44.8 percent from the floor and 33.8 percent from 3-point range.

AUTOMATIC FROM THE FOUL LINE
Through 14 games, Slippery Rock has made 71.5 percent (203-for-284) of its free throws, which is good enough for fifth in the PSAC. Seven different Rock players are currently shooting over 70 percent from the foul line including Hinderliter (.831), Patterson (.829), O'Connor (.833) and Kasch Harris (.720).

CLOSING IN ON 1,000
Hinderliter will enter the Clarion game with 954 career points, already the 13th most in program history. At her current rate of 18.9 points per game, she will become the 13th player in Rock history to achieve 1,000 career points within SRU's next three games. When she does so she will become only the second player over the last 14 years to score 1,000 points at The Rock; D'Asia Chambers also scored 1,313 points over 96 games from 2011-15.

In addition to her already impressive career point total, Hinderliter also currently ranks fifth in program history in offensive rebounds (164) and fifth in free throws made (267).

HENDERSON LEAVING HER MARK
As she winds down her collegiate career, Henderson is already, or on pace to finish in the top 10 in several statistical categories at The Rock. She currently ranks fifth in defensive rebounds (363), sixth in offensive rebounds (159), 10th in blocks (50), 13th in minutes played (2,236), 13th in total rebounds (522) and 32nd in points (670).

A true four-year contributor, Henderson is also on pace to set the Slippery Rock record for games played in a career barring any unforeseen circumstances.
