SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University softball team is set for Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division contests against Seton Hill University and California University of Pennsylvania Friday and Saturday at the SRU Softball Complex.
SRU will host Seton Hill Friday for two games with first pitch scheduled for 2:30 at the SRU Softball Complex.
Saturday, Slippery Rock's games against California are listed as away contests, but will be played at the SRU Softball Complex due to CU's home field renovations. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m.

SETON HILL SERIES HISTORY
Slippery Rock owns an 11-10 all-time series record against Seton Hill. Both teams are 3-3 in the series dating back to 2016.
CALIFORNIA SERIES HISTORY
California leads the all-time series against The Rock, 91-30, but SRU took three of the four games against the Vulcans last spring.

THE ROCK NOTES

THE BATS – As a team, The Rock are hitting .286 (209-for-732).
Kailey Myers (.416),
Emily Nagle (.344),
Megan Brown (.320) and
Lauren Hawley (.307) are all hitting above .300.

JUST KEEP WALKING – SRU hitters have walked a combined 76 times, which ranks second in the conference.
Becca Roesch is tied for second in the PSAC with 13 walks, while Myers (12) is tied for fourth and Brown (11) is tied for eighth.

MYERS KEEPS HITTING – Myers still leads SRU in batting average (.416) and is also tops on the roster in slugging percentage (.558) and on-base percentage (.494). She has been clutch with the bat with runners in scoring position hitting .481 (13-for-27).

RED HOT BROWN – Brown extended her hitting streak to 10 games following the games at Mercyhurst. She has reached base in 12 consecutive games and leads the PSAC in sacrifice bunts (14) and is third in the league in stolen bases (14).

NAGLE DOING NAGLE THINGS – Nagle, who had an 11-game hitting streak earlier this year, is currently on a four-game hitting streak. She has also reached base safely in 22 consecutive games.

THE FRESHMAN STILL RAKING – Roesch is now tied for first on the team with Myers in RBI (20). She also leads all Rock hitters in home runs with four.
• OUT OF THE PEN – Brooke Dawson,
Paige Flore,
Camie Shumaker and
Andria Copelli have made at least three starts this season, but when entering the game out of the bullpen, the quartet has managed a 1.73 ERA (12 ER in 48.2 IP).

STILL CHASING RECORDS –Dawson entered in one game as a reliever at Mercyhurst, but did not earn a victory. She needs just one to tie Slippery Rock's all-time win record of 30.

GRIFFINS NOTES
• Christiana Skrabak and Brooke Bower lead the SHU offense. Skraback is hitting .458 (33-for-72) and Bower has a .377 (29-for-77) average.
• Paige Hertzog (.338) and Ashley Perillo (.328) are also hitting above .300 and have driven in a combined 27 runs.
• Seton Hill pitchers enter today's games with a 2.65 team ERA, which is good for third best in the PSAC.
• Devyn Terry has five of the Griffins wins in the circle posting a 2.22 ERA (22 ER in 69.1 IP) and has punched out 47 hitters.

VULCANS NOTES
• California features a lineup of four players that are hitting at least .360 entering this weekend, including Paige Wilson (.390), Carlee Wickstrom (.373), Jacquelyn Fowler (.370) and Brooke Wilson (.362).
• Wickstrom also leads the team in several categories including home runs (4), RBI (20), runs scored (17), total bases (41), slugging percentage (.695) and total hits (22).
• The pitching staff enters the weekend a 3.31 ERA, led by Emilee Downing with a 2.39 ERA with 46 strikeouts over 41.0 innings of work.
• Carly Konopka (2.55 ERA), Taylor Robblee (4.06 ERA) and Cierra Funke (4.92 ERA) round out the pitching rotation for the Vulcans.
UP NEXT
Slippery Rock will take a break from PSAC West games and travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for a non-conference doubleheader at Point Park University on Monday, April 16. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
