SCOUTING THE ROCK
• LAST TIME OUT – Slippery Rock picked up its second consecutive win with a 74-64 victory against Clarion on Feb. 10 at Morrow Field House (Box Score).

• With three contests remaining in the regular season, Slippery Rock controls its own destiny on the path to a PSAC Tournament berth. SRU is 2.5 games ahead of Mercyhurst (7-11) in the PSAC West standings and is tied with Gannon (10-9) for fifth place.

• There are two ways in which SRU can clinch its second PSAC Tournament berth in the last four years on Wednesday; by beating Edinboro or if Mercyhurst loses at No. 21 California (Pa.).

• If Slippery Rock can win two of its final three regular season games it would assure itself of the program's first winning percentage of .500 or better since going 15-12 in 2001-02 (17 years).

• Regardless of how the season ends, Slippery Rock's 10 league wins are already the most by a Rock team in a single-season in program history.

• A victory against Edinboro would mark Slippery Rock's third three-game winning streak of the season, its most in one year since the 2000-01 team had four winning streaks of at least three games.

• Skyla O'Connor was named the PSAC West Freshman of the Week after averaging 8.5 points per game for SRU in wins last week against Mercyhurst and Clarion. In her first season at The Rock, O'Connor has appeared in 24 games, averaging 4.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 40.4 percent from the field in 13.6 minutes played per contest.

• Morgan Henderson is coming off of one of her best performances at The Rock. The junior forward went for 19 points, 11 rebounds, six of which were offensive, three assists and two steals against Clarion. On the year, Henderson leads SRU in shooting percentage (.491), while ranking third in scoring (8.8 ppg) and rebounding (5.0).

• Brooke Hinderliter leads Slippery Rock in nearly every significant statistical category including scoring (14.1), free throw percentage (.864), overall rebounding (6.8), offensive rebounding (2.7), assists (2.8), steals (1.2) and minutes played (30.1). Across the PSAC West, she ranks 13th in scoring, ninth in rebounding and sixth in offensive rebounding.

• LeeAnn Gibson been one of The Rock's most productive and efficient offensive threats as of late. She has reached double figures in five of the last seven games, averaging 10 points per game on just 6.6 field goal attempts per game. She is shooting 52.2 percent from the field during the seven-game stretch.

• Krista Pietropola has recorded less than six rebounds in a game just twice in SRU's last 13 games. She has increased her season rebounding total to 6.0 rpg thanks to a 7.2 per game average over the previous 13 games. Additionally, her lone 3-pointer of the day against Clarion moved her into a tie for 13th place in school history for successful 3-pointers made in a career at 81.

• Mallory Heinle came off the bench against Clarion to tally eight rebounds and a pair of blocks over 21 minutes. Heinle's 47 career blocks are the 10th most in SRU history while her 451 rebounds rank 19th at Slippery Rock.

• Madison Johnson has started 20 of 24 games in her first season at The Rock and is second on the team in minutes played per game at 26.8. She also ranks second in scoring with 9.4 points per game.

• With at least three games remaining in her final season, Sierra Fordham has already set career-highs in games started (11), minutes played (546), field goals made (63), 3-pointers made (15), free throws made (34), rebounds (32), assists (51), blocks (five), steals (15) and total points (175).

• Slippery Rock played Edinboro close in the first half in The Rock and Fighting Scots' first game of the season on Jan. 20, but EU pulled away in the second half to earn the 22-point win. Hindelriter had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds for SRU while Gibson added 10 points and six rebounds. Heinle came off the bench to record seven points, nine rebounds and two blocks.

• The Rock currently ranks third in the conference in field goal percentage defense (.368), third in free throw percentage (.743), third in rebounding (40.4) and fourth in total blocks (94).

• Slippery Rock's 94 blocks are tied for the most in a single-season in program history. Leading The Rock to the school record has primarily been the trio of Heinle (23 blocks), Henderson (18) and Pietropola (15). O'Connor is also closing in on 10 blocks with eight rejections of her own. Heinle's 23 blocks this season are the most by a Rock player since Aidan Geise had 28 in 2013-14.

• Slippery Rock's .368 field goal percentage defense currently stands as the best in school history. While the number could still fluctuate as SRU closes out the year, it will more than likely not drop past the second best mark in Rock history of .378 in 2000-01.

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING SCOTS
• Edinboro has won seven straight games to climb to first in the PSAC West standings and 13th in the nation. While already qualified for the PSAC Tournament, and more than likely the NCAA Tournament, the Fighting Scots need a win against Slippery Rock to stay on pace with Indiana (16-2) for first in the league standings and ahead of third-place California (15-3).

• The Fighting Scots will enter Wednesday's game leading the PSAC in rebounds per game (43.3) while also ranked second in turnover margin ( 6.32), second in scoring (78.5), second in field goal percentage defense (.353) and third in field goal percentage (.429).

• At 15.9 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, Ciara Rosten is one of just two players in the PSAC to average a double-double. Rosten leads the PSAC in both rebounding and blocked shots (3.8 per game).

• Jontay Walton is Edinboro's leading scorer with 16.6 points per game. Rosten, Michelle Jahn (13.1) and Michaela Barnes (13.0) all average at least 13 points per game as well. Walton also ranks first for Edinboro in assists (4.2) and steals (2.8).

• Rosten went for 16 points and 10 rebounds while Jahn scored 20 points and Walton made four steals in Edinboro's win against The Rock earlier in the season.
