SCOUTING THE ROCK
• LAST TIME OUT – Slippery Rock defeated Pitt-Johnstown Wednesday following a go-ahead score by Testa in the 80th minute. SRU freshman Megan Sikora also netted a goal in the 2-1 victory over the Mountain Cats.

• FRESH GROUP OF STARS – SRU added a group of 12 freshmen this offseason and all 12 have made at least one appearance this season. Five have scored at least one goal including Jordyn Minda, Rachel Edge, Reagan Reeves, Georgia Nagucki and Sikora. Defensively, the first-year players have helped SRU's backline become one of the best in the PSAC, and goalkeeper Emma Yoder has not surrendered a score in her first four games played.

• THE VETERANS – SRU has been getting contributions from its veterans as well. 2017 All-PSAC selection Testa is second on the team in points with eight on two goals and four assists while Kramer is third on the roster in points with seven on two goals and three assists. Other upperclassmen that have contributed offensively are Kaitlyn Barackman (three goals), Madison Johnson (one goal) and Tyler Spence (one assist).

• HOLD THE LINE – On defense, Slippery Rock is tied for second in the league in shutouts with seven and has registered the fourth-best goals against average in the conference at 0.72. This is all thanks to contributions from defenders Emily Arnold, Sofia Harrison, Elise Forry, Sarah Blue, Tori Norton, Katy Ericson, Katlynn Bradford and Johnson.

• IT'S THEIR NET – Goalkeepers Kylie Downs and Yoder have split time in net this season for SRU with Downs registering 1.05 goals against average and a .795 save percentage. Yoder is yet to surrender a goal this season and is 2-0-1 in four starts. Downs is tied for fifth in the PSAC in shutouts with four while Yoder is tied for seventh in the conference with three.

• SCARY GOOD RECORD – After starting off the month of October in 2018 with a victory, The Rock are now 17-7-3 (.685) in the month of October since Griggs took over the program in 2015.
