SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team will head to No. 14 Millersville University 1:30 p.m. Friday and closeout its two-game Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference swing 2 p.m. Sunday against California University of Pennsylvania.

SCOUTING THE ROCK
• LAST TIME OUT – Slippery Rock fell on the road at Bloomsburg, 3-1. Skye Kramer tallied SRU's lone goal off an assist from Testa in the contest.
 
• FRESH GROUP OF STARS – SRU added a group of 12 freshmen this offseason and all 12 have made at least one appearance this season. Five have scored at least one goal including Jordyn Minda, Rachel Edge, Reagan Reeves, Georgia Nagucki and Sikora. Defensively, the first-year players have helped SRU's backline become one of the best in the PSAC, and goalkeeper Emma Yoder has not surrendered a score in her first four games played.
 
• THE VETERANS – SRU has been getting contributions from its veterans as well.  Testa and Kramer are tied for second on the team in points with nine. Testa has two goals and five assists while Kramer's posted three goals and three assists. Other upperclassmen that have contributed offensively are Kaitlyn Barackman (three goals), Madison Johnson (one goal) and Tyler Spence (one assist).
 
• DEFENSIVELY – On defense, Slippery Rock is tied for third in the league in shutouts with seven. This is all thanks to contributions from defenders Emily Arnold, Sofia Harrison, Elise Forry, Sarah Blue, Tori Norton, Katy Ericson, Katlynn Bradford and Johnson.
 
• THE STOPPERS – Goalkeepers Downs and Yoder have split time in net this season for SRU. Downs is 5-4-1 with a .774 save percentage, a 1.26 goals against average and four shutouts, while Yoder is 2-0-1 and is yet to surrender a score in her career.
