SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.- The Slippery Rock University softball team continues Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division action this weekend, starting at Seton Hill University Sunday before returning home Monday to host Gannon University.
First pitch of the doubleheader with Seton Hill is scheduled for 12 p.m., while the doubleheader against Gannon is set to start at 2:30 p.m.

Team Notes: As a team, Slippery Rock is hitting .290, which ranks seventh in the PSAC. The Slippery Rock pitching unit has combined for an ERA of 2.83, to tab them at sixth in the conference, while their batting average against is .242, which ties them for third.
Top Bats: Emily Nagle and
Caitlin Baxter are ranked No. 1 and 2 in batting average in the PSAC. Nagle is hitting .466 with six doubles, 14 runs and eight RBI, while Baxter is batting .433 with three home runs, 12 runs and 11 RBI.
Megan Brown (.317) has a team-high 10 stolen bases to go with 14 runs scored, while
Lauren Hawley leads the team in RBI with 12.

Top Arms: Brooke Dawson anchors the pitching rotation for The Rock with a 6-4 record. Dawson has a team-best 1.87 ERA and 51 strikeouts.
Carly DeRose is 3-4 with an ERA of 3.08 and 32 strikeouts. DeRose (254) and Dawson (213) are ranked third and fourth in SRU program history in career strikeouts. DeRose is five wins away from breaking SRU's win record.

Stacey Rice is in her third season at the helm after leading SRU to a 20-23 record last spring and a spot in the PSAC Tournament for the first time since 2009. The 20 victories were the most for Slippery Rock since the 2010 season. A 2008 graduate of SRU, Rice is one of the most decorated players in program history. She is still the all-time leader in eight different statistical categories including runs scored (143) and hits (186).

Team Notes: Gannon has combined for a .281 team batting average this season, which ranks them at 10th in the PSAC. The Golden Knights' pitching unit has been very successful this season, as they are tied for a conference-low 1.94 ERA, while opponents are batting .237 against them.
Top Bats: Jackie Martinez is hitting a team-best .408 with seven doubles, while Maria Taliani is .375 with 10 runs scored and three home runs. Kherrin Morgan is batting .281 to go with four home runs and nine RBI. Rachel Tanilli leads Gannon in stolen bases with five.
Top Arms: Olivia Gumbita, Kellyn Perich and Madi Beining split time in the circle for the Golden Knights. Gumbita has a 9-2 record and 1.50 ERA to go with 85 strikeouts. Perich is 8-6 with a 1.88 ERA and 21 strikeouts, while Beining is 9-5 with a 2.81 ERA and 28 strikeouts.
