Rock set for two-game PSAC weekend

The Slippery Rock women’s soccer team will play 4 p.m. Friday against Millersville and then play a road game at California (Pa.) 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Both matches will be conference games.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team will battle Millersville University 4 p.m. Friday at home, and then play a road contest at California University of Pennsylvania 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play.

SCOUTING THE ROCK
• LAST TIME OUT – Slippery Rock defeated Bloomsburg 1-0 in a PSAC contest on a goal from Skye Kramer. Kylie Downs recorded her sixth shutout victory of 2017.
 
• HELP ME HELP YOU – With her fourth assist Saturday, Testa continued the trend of a group of players with multiple assists. Six different players on The Rock roster have recorded at least two assists this season including Testa, Kramer (two), Tess Keeley (four), Shannon McIntyre (two), Kaitlyn Barackman (two) and Tyler Spence (two).
 
• BACK AT IT – SRU will look for its second three-game winning streak this season. Previously, The Rock won games against Indiana (Pa.), Mansfield and Clarion from Sept. 6 to Sept. 13.
 
• THAT'S A LOT – For the sixth consecutive season, SRU has tallied at least one goal from 10 different players. The last time Slippery Rock did not register goals from at least 10 players was in 2011.  
 
• SHUTOUT COUNT – Downs and The Rock defense's shutout number this year is currently up to six. That amount ranks first in the PSAC.
