SCOUTING THE ROCK
• Last time out: Slippery Rock lost to Seton Hill at home, 74-63. Dixon produced season-bests of 20 points and nine rebounds in the loss with Hinderliter nearly equaling a career-high of her own with 19 points. (Box Score)

• SRU begins the week ranked second in the PSAC in free throw shooting percentage (.738), third in free throws made (333) and sixth in rebounds per game (39.5).

• Slippery Rock is currently slotted seventh in the PSAC West and two games behind Seton Hill for sixth place in the standings. The top six teams in the PSAC West and PSAC East standings at the end of the year qualify for the conference tournament.

•  Slippery Rock has done a great job of taking care of the basketball as of late with no more than 15 turnovers in any of the previous six games. SRU will have to continue to limit its turnovers against against the opportunistic Vulcans, which lead the league in turnovers forced per game at 28.3. SRU committed a season-high 32 turnovers against the Vulcans earlier in the season. In turn, California scored 44 points off of The Rock's miscues.

• Dixon, who went 7-for-13 from the field overall, 2-for-3 from 3-point range and 4-for-4 from the foul line against Seton Hill, has now scored at least 10 points in a game eight times this season and in two out of The Rock's last three games. The Rock's most efficient shooter on the year at 48.5 percent, Dixon is currently averaging 7.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

• Hinderliter, Slippery Rock's second leading scorer at 10.5 points per game, has pulled down 51 offensive rebounds this season. Only nine other players in the PSAC have more offensive rebounds this season than Hinderliter, who also ranks second in freshmen scoring in the PSAC behind only Kutztown's Sierra Taylor (12.3 ppg).

• Despite seeing limited time against Seton Hill, Lexi Carpenter still leads the league in scoring at 19.1 points per game while also ranking fourth in assists per game (4.8) and 14th in steals per game (1.7). Carpenter also leads the entire PSAC with an 88.0 free throw shooting percentage.

• Heinle is averaging career-highs of 8.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a junior. She has already eclipsed personal-bests in minutes played (559), field goals made (63), total rebounds (132), assists (17), steals (22) and points (170). Heinle is also the only Rock player to have started all 21 games this season.

• Morgan Henderson ranks second for SRU in rebounding (6.1) and fifth in scoring (7.0). Henderson's 23 rebounds over the last three games are tied for the most by a Rock player over that stretch with Dixon.

• Krista Pietropola's 34 made 3-pointers are the 13th most in the PSAC this season. Pietropola, who has served as The Rock's sixth man for much of the season, has played the third most minutes of any SRU player (516) and has averaged 6.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.

• LeeAnn Gibson grabbed six rebounds over 22 minutes against Seton Hill. The six rebounds were the most by Gibson in SRU's last nine games and her 22 minutes of playing time was her personal-best since seeing the court for 23 minutes at Malone on Nov. 30, 2016.

• After not playing in The Rock's previous two games, Sierra Fordham came off the bench to score four points and pass out one assist against Seton Hill.

• Slippery Rock is 8-3 on the year when out rebounding its opponents.
