SCOUTING THE ROCK
• Last time out: Slippery Rock produced its highest scoring output of the season and shot above 50 percent from the field, but it wasn't quite enough as Pitt-Johnstown defeated SRU, 88-84, on Jan. 18. Carpenter had a double-double of 32 points and 11 assists in the loss. (Box Score)

• Slippery Rock enters Saturday's game with an overall record of 8-10 and a PSAC West mark of 5-7, which is good enough for seventh place in the league standings and just one game behind Seton Hill University for sixth place. The top six teams in the PSAC West and PSAC East standings at the conclusion of the regular season earn bids into the conference tournament.

• Slippery Rock shot 50.8 percent from the field against Pitt-Johnstown. The UPJ game marked the first time that SRU had shot over 50 percent from the floor since going 31-of-55 from the field (56.4 percent) in an 87-62 win against Mansfield last year.

• Carpenter has now scored at least 32 points in three consecutive games for The Rock. She is one of just two players in all of NCAA Division II, along with Jordan Wilson of Alaska Fairbanks,  to have scored 30 or more points in three straight games. Over her impeccable three-game stretch Carpenter has averaged 32.7 points, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.5 percent (33-of-68) from the field.

• Carpenter, the reigning PSAC West Athlete of the Week, leads the PSAC in scoring at 19.6 points per game, second in free throw shooting percentage (.882) and ranks fourth in the league in assists with 5.1 per game. Additionally, her 11 assists against UPJ tied her for the seventh most assists in a single-game in program history.

• Cassidy Wright is shooting 54.5 percent (12-of-22) from 3-point range over The Rock's last seven games. She was a perfect 3-for-3 from deep against Pitt-Johnstown.

• Brooke Hinderliter, who was recently named the PSAC West Freshman of the Week for a fifth time, averages 10.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. Hinderliter, who also shoots 47.1 percent from the field, has 20 offensive rebounds in The Rock's four games. She leads SRU  on the year with 39 offensive rebounds.

• Mallory Heinle, The Rock's top rebounder (6.4 rpg) and third leading scorer (8.2 ppg), was one point away from matching a career-high with 15 points against Pitt-Johnstown. Heinle's junior year has been her best at The Rock; she is on pace to set career-highs in minutes played, 3-pointers made, rebounds, assists and points scored.

• C.C. Dixon, who had a season-high three steals against UPJ, is shooting an efficient 49.5 percent (50-of-101) from the field while averaging 6.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

• Morgan Henderson is Slippery Rock's second leading rebounder (5.8 per game) and fourth leading scorer (7.3 ppg). Henderson also matched a season-high with three steals against Pitt-Johnstown.

• LeeAnn Gibson's five rebounds against Pitt-Johnstown was her highest rebounding total in the last seven games and her sixth game of the year with at least five rebounds.

• Krista Pietropola leads SRU, and ranks 16th in the PSAC, with 29 made 3-pointers.
