SCOUTING THE ROCK
Last time out: Shippensburg's Bailey Bzdak scored a goal with just under nine minutes left to play in the first half to lead the Raiders to a 1-0 victory over Slippery Rock on Sept. 10.

• Prior to its loss against Shippensburg, Slippery Rock earned its first win of the year thanks to a Sam Thornton goal in the 85th minute against Millersville that gave SRU a 2-1 win.

• Thornton's game-winning score was the third such of her career. She is tied for third among active Rock players in game-winning goals with Tess Keeley and behind Demich (10) and Felix (five).

• Slippery Rock's first goal in its win against Millersville came from Brooke Testa. The goal was her team-leading second of the season. She is well on pace to eclipse her three goal total from her freshman year in 2015.

Miranda Gallucci set up both Rock goals against Millersville for the first two assists of her college career.

• Through four games, Testa leads The Rock with five shots on goal. Skye Kramer is second with three followed by Thornton (two), Demich (two), Haley Burkholder (two), Maddy Smith (two), Keri Mathias (one), Madison Johnson (one) and Tyler Spence (one).

• Sophomore goalkeepers Charlotte Elrod and Kylie Downs have both seen time on the field this year. Elrod has started three games (217:12, 21 shots faced) and is 1-2 with six saves and a 2.07 goals against average. Downs has played in two games (142:48, 11 shots faced), making one start, and is 0-1 with five saves and a 0.63 goals against average.

• Testa, Thornton, Burkholder, Demich and Maddy Tletski are the only five Rock players to start all four games for SRU so far this season.

• Demich has played some of the best soccer of her career against California. In five games against the Vulcans, Demich has scored four goals, scored three game-winners, and assisted on two other goals.

• Felix and Keeley also have past goals against California while Thornton has put four shots on goal against the Vulcans; second on the team only to Demich (five).

SCOUTING THE VULCANS
Last time out: Clarion and California played to a 0-0 tie at Clarion on Sept. 10. Vulcan goalkeeper Meghan Jayes made three stops for the Vulcans while Kira Carberry led the way offensively with two shots on goal.
