THE OPENING TIP• Slippery Rock will look to snap its two-game losing streak and get itself back into PSAC Tournament contention with a win against the Vulcans.
• With five games remaining in the regular season, Slippery Rock currently finds itself slotted eighth in the PSAC West standings at 11-12 overall and 7-10 in league play. SRU begins the week 1.5 games in back of Mercyhurst for the sixth-place spot in the PSAC West standings. The top six teams in the division at the end of the year qualify for the PSAC Tournament.Â
• California enters the game at 16-5 overall and 13-4 in league play. The Vulcans have won five straight games to climb to the top of the PSAC West standings and have already clinched a spot in the postseason tournament.
• Following the California game, Slippery Rock will play three out of its final four games of the regular season at Morrow Field House.

LAST MEETING AGAINST CALIFORNIACalifornia defeated Slippery Rock, 64-52, Jan. 16. Carpenter and Patterson combined to score 31 points with Patterson also grabbing seven rebounds. However, The Rock committed 21 turnovers and gave up 22 offensive rebounds to the Vulcans. Three California players had double-doubles with Seairra Barrett leading the way at 11 points and 18 rebounds.

ROCK PLAYERS vs. CALIFORNIA ALL-TIMEThe senior combonation of Aiello and Hardiman have each played California seven times. Aiello averages 6.4 points, 3.1 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals while Hardiman has produced 2.4 points and 4.0 rebounds. In three games against the Vulcans, Heinle has pulled in 4.0 rebounds per game. Carpenter had 16 points, seven rebounds and two assists and Patterson had 15 points in one game vs. the Vulcans earlier in the season.

ROCK TRENDS• Patterson has scored 10 or more points in nine consecutive games and averaging 16.1 points per game over the stretch.
• Aiello played 31 minutes at Seton Hill to move into fifth place in program history for minutes played in her career with 2,728.
• Heinle has grabbed two or more offensive rebounds in 11 of SRU's last 14 games. She has a team-high 35 offensive rebounds on the season.
• Pietropola had five rebounds against Seton Hill, her highest rebounding total in the last 10 games.
• Carpenter has continued to up her production as the season has went on. In The Rock's last five games, Carpenter has recorded per game totals of 20.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 47.1 percent (33-for-70) from the field, 70 percent (7-for-10) from 3-point range and 84.4 percent (27-for-32) from the foul line.

• SRU's .382 3-point field goal percentage would rank first in Rock history if the season ended today. The 2000-01 currently holds the Rock record at .376.
• Slippery Rock needs to make 15 more 3-pointers to pass the 2001-02 team for the most 3-pointers made. SRU enters the California game having made 156 3-pointers on the season. The Rock averages 6.8 made 3-pointers per game.
• The Rock's .766 free throw shooting percentage would be the second highest percentage from the foul line in Rock history, the 1997-98 team made .774 of its free throws.
• SRU's 333 made free throws are already the 11th most in single-season history. Slippery Rock is on pace to finish with 406 successful free throws, which would rank fourth all-time.
• Individually, Carpenter's 109 made free throws already ranks sixth all-time. She is on pace to make 134 free throws this season, which would tie her with former Rock great Melissa McKavish, who made 134 foul shots in 2002-03, for third place in SRU single-season history.

800 POINTS, 350 ASSISTS, 200 REBOUNDSThrough 101 career games, Aiello has amassed 773 points, 347 assists and 216 rebounds. With five games remaining in the regular season, she needs 27 points (5.4 per game) and three assists to become just the third player in program history to record 800 points, 350 assists and 200 rebounds.

Jackie Altenweg (1998-02) (1,449 points, 361 assists, 410 rebounds) and Annette Bergman (1989-93) (872 points, 417 assists, 228 rebounds) have also accomplished the feat at Slippery Rock.
