SCOUTING THE ROCK
Last Time Out: Dara Demich scored a goal in the 19th minute to lead Slippery Rock to a 1-0 victory at Pitt-Johnstown on Oct. 5.

• SRU has now gone 10 consecutive games without allowing more than one goal; the last team to score more than once against The Rock was Notre Dame College in the season-opener. The school record for consecutive games of holding opponents to one goal or less is 17 (set in 2011). A large part of The Rock's defensive success can be credited to a veteran backline that includes Lynn Neef (68 career games), Sam Thornton (62 career games), Haley Burkholder (49 career games) and Ariana Daukss (46 career games).

• Seven different players have scored goals for The Rock this season with no one player having more than four goals. Maddy Tletski leads the team with four goals while the trio of Andrea Felix, Demich and Brooke Testa have all accounted for two Rock goals. Tess Keeley, Tyler Spence and Thornton all have one goal as well.

• Much like The Rock's goal scoring responsibilities, assists for SRU have been evenly spread out amongst eight athletes. Felix, Keeley, Spence and Miranda Gallucci all have two assists this year while Demich, Thornton and Madison Johnson have each setup one Rock score.

• Goalkeeper Kylie Downs has started eight of her nine games played this season and is 6-2-0 with three shutouts, a 0.58 goals against average, 33 saves and a .868 save percentage. She enters the weekend ranked third in the conference in goals against average, third in save percentage and fifth in total shutouts.

• Tletski, Thornton and Burkholder are the only three Rock players to have started every game in 2016. Overall, Burkholder has started 49 consecutive games played with Tletski and Thornton close behind at 31 and 30 consecutive starts, respectively.

• Slippery Rock's splits its home games between the grass at James Egli Field and the turf at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. Slippery Rock more than holds its own on the faster surface as evidenced by its dominant 48-7-5 record at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium since the 2002 season. The East Stroudsburg match will be Slippery Rock's second at the stadium this season; SRU defeated Mercyhurst 1-0 on the turf earlier in the year.

• Of The Rock's 10 goals allowed this season just three have come in the second half of games. Of Slippery Rock's seven first-half goals surrendered three have come in the game's opening five minutes. Since head coach Jessica Griggs took over the program a year ago (31 games), Slippery Rock has given up just nine second-half goals.

• Demich and Felix will wrap up their collegiate careers this season and when they do the pair will go down as two of the most accomplished players in Slippery Rock women's soccer history. Demich currently ranks eighth in program history in career points (64), fifth in career goals (28) and second in game-winning goals (13). Despite missing the majority of her junior year due to injury, Felix still ranks 12th in Rock history in points at 61, 10th in goals with 22, eighth in assists at 17 and 10th in game-winning goals with six.

• Demich has scored goals in back-to-back games while Felix has compiled six points off of two goals and two assists this year.

• Goalkeeper Jules Harris has started all 11 games and has produced a league-best eight shutouts as well as 40 saves, a .930 save percentage and a 0.28 goals against average.

• East Stroudsburg has allowed just one goal this season. Its 22 goals scored are the third most in the entire PSAC behind West Chester (31) and Edinboro (25).

• ESU has been paced on the season by Alex Pickett, who has scored seven goals and handed out one assist for a team-high 15 points. Hann Gombos has six assists to go with one goal while Amy Strauser and Laurel Neira each have three goals. Brielyn Hackett (two), Dainelle Cary (two) Sammi Ortiz (two), Shea Neal (one), Lia Carpenter (one) and Carly Abbott (one) round out the Warriors goal scorers.
