SCOUTING THE ROCKRecord: 9-11 overall, 6-4 PSAC-West
Last six: 5-1
Overview: Slippery Rock ranks in the top half of the PSAC in most offensive and pitching categories, but has been let down by its defense in its losses. The Rock is eighth with a .283 team batting average and seventh in runs scored (99), while the pitching staff is 10th with a 3.10 ERA and fourth in opponent batting average at .238. SRU has been aggressive on the bases and ranks first in the PSAC with 39 stolen bases. SRU ranks 11th in the PSAC in fielding with 31 total errors.

Alaynna Beers and
Taylor Welch lead the team with a .333 batting average. Beers has 20 hits, seven runs and 12 RBI, while Welch has 17 hits, nine runs and 10 RBI. Junior
Stacey Herzog is batting .326 with 13 runs, 11 RBI and a team-high three home runs. Junior
Katie Kaiser is batting .288 with a team-high 21 hits and 13 runs. Kaiser,

Eliza Sykes lead the team with seven stolen bases apiece.

Caitlin Baxter are hitting .303 and .292, respectively, off the bench.

Carly DeRose leads the rotation at 6-5 with a 2.39 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 67.1 innings. Freshman
Brooke Dawson is 3-4 with a 3.93 ERA and 37 strikeouts over 41.0 innings. Sophomore
Sarah Petrash has been the top arm out of the bullpen with a 1.00 ERA and .120 opponent batting average over 7.0 innings of relief.

Stacey Rice enters her first season in 2015 after serving three years as an assistant coach and two years as a graduate assistant with The Rock. Before beginning her coaching career at SRU, Rice was one of the most decorated players and prolific hitters in program history. Rice holds the all-time records for runs scored, hits, doubles, total bases, walks and at-bats while ranking second all-time in home runs and RBIs.

All-time series: The Rock owns a 7-4 advantage over SHU in the all-time series dating back to 2005. The teams split earlier this spring, with SRU winning 13-5 and falling 5-2.
Overview: Seton Hill features an explosive offense that ranks in the top three of all major offensive statistics and a pitching staff that ranks near the middle of the conference with a 2.59 ERA and .240 opponent batting average.
Top bats: Christine Henderson, Carlee Wickstrom and Kaitlyn Kutchman pack a strong punch in the middle of the SHU lineup. Henderson ranks sixth in the PSAC with a team-high .451 batting average and adds 18 runs and 19 RBI. Wickstrom is hitting .400 and ranks second in the conference with 25 runs scored, followed by Kutchman who is batting .370, with a team-high four home runs and ranks second in the PSAC with 27 RBI. Victoria Stock is batting .360 with 22 runs scored, followed by Ashley Perillo at .353 and Paige Hertzog at .308.
Top arms: Amanda Huff anchors the rotation at 5-5 with a 2.95 ERA in 10 appearances. Henderson is second on the team with nine appearances and is 4-2 with a 3.06 ERA. Hope Pehrson is 2-1 with a 0.98 ERA and Kutchman is 3-0 with a 1.98 ERA to round out the top arms for SHU.
Head coach: Bill Monstrola is in his first year at the helm of the Griffins. He brings 10 years of collegiate coaching experience to Seton Hill, after spending the past four seasons as head coach of the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg.

All-time series: Edinboro holds a 63-52 edge over The Rock in the all-time series dating back to 1977. The Rock took three of four over the Fighting Scots last spring.
Overview: Edinboro ranks near the middle of the PSAC in most offensive and pitching categories. TheFighting Scots are ninth in team batting average at .262, 10th in runs scored at 77, 12th in team ERA at 3.34 and 10th in opponent batting average at .272.
Top bats: Laura Crooks leads the team with a .412 batting average and 21 hits, with 10 runs scored. Theresa Fleckenstein is batting .333 with 10 RBI and three home runs, followed by Brooke Callaghan with a .318 average, 12 runs and three homers. Haley Struebing is hitting .304 with team-highs of 13 runs, four home runs and 12 RBI.
Top arms: Taylor Payne anchors the rotation at 4-1 with a 1.91 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 33.0 innings. Kerri Stevens is 2-1 with a 2.72 ERA in 18.0 innings, followed by Kalet Lenart at 2-2 with a 3.57 ERA in 33.1 logged innings.
Head coach: Dan Gierlak is in his 25th season at the helm of the Edinboro softball program. Gierlak is 415-501-4 over his first 24 seasons.
