ResultsSHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's track and field team sits third in the team standings after the second day of competition at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships from Seth Grove Stadium at Shippensburg University.
Five-time defending champion Shippensburg is the runaway leader in the team standings with 116 points after two days. Kutztown sits second with 53 points and Slippery Rock rounds out the top three with 38 points.
The Rock scored points in four events Friday, while also qualifying a total of three track athletes and one relay for finals Saturday.
The pole vaulters picked up three placings Friday, led by
Cody Colagrande with a second place finish and a clearance of 4.64 meters.
Jordan Pacheco cleared the same height to place fourth and
Keiffer Reed was eighth at 4.34 meters.
Trevor Miller was the highest placing Rock athlete Friday, taking second in the shot put with a throw of 15.54 meters.
David Reinhardt also scored in the event with an eighth place finish and a toss of 14.28 meters.
Reinhardt also scored with a fifth place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 51.69 meters. He was joined in sixth place by
Billy Martin with a throw of 50.99 meters.
Andrew Greenslade capped his career with his finest performance in the decathlon, finishing the 10-event competition with a fourth place finish and a score of 5,905 points.
Nate Zigler also scored with a seventh place finish and 5,823 points.
Hunter Williams reached the finals in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. He was the seventh fastest in the 400m in 49.27 seconds and the eighth fastest in the 200m at 22.53 seconds.
Nathaniel Helfferich qualified for the finals in the 400-meter hurdles with the eighth best time in the prelims at 55.47 seconds.
The Rock's best performances Friday were rounded out by the 4x100-meter relay team, which reached the final after posting the fifth best time of the prelims at 42.53 seconds. The team consisted of

Trevor Foley and
Hans Lubich.
Competition is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday on the final day of action.
