SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team will look to further enhance its already solid postseason resume with a pair of road wins over nationally-ranked East Stroudsburg and West Chester to close out the regular season this weekend.

Slippery Rock plays East Stroudsburg on Friday at 1 p.m. before meeting West Chester less than 24 hours later at 12 p.m. Saturday.

Records and Rankings: This weekend's results will go a long way in deciding not only seeding for the upcoming PSAC Tournament, but also potential berths in the NCAA Tournament.

Entering the final weekend of the regular season, East Stroudsburg (15-1, 13-1 PSAC) and West Chester (14-1, 13-1 PSAC) both have 39 conference points with ESU possessing the tiebreaker over WCU due to its win over the Rams earlier in the season. West Chester still has a chance to earn the top seed in next week's PSAC tournament, but neither team can drop below the No. 2 seed.

Slippery Rock (11-3-1, 10-3-1 PSAC) has 31 points in conference play and has also already clinched a spot in the PSAC Tournament, but its seeding is less clear than that of ESU and WCU. The Rock could be seeded as high as third or as low as fifth depending on the outcomes of this weekend's contests.

As far as the NCAA Tournament is concerned, West Chester was ranked first in the Atlantic Region in the NCAA's most recent regional rankings with Slippery Rock being slotted third and East Stroudsburg coming in at fifth place. The top six teams in the region at the conclusion of the season on Nov. 10 will earn berths into the NCAA Tournament. The top two teams earn first round byes.

Scouting Slippery Rock: With two wins last week, SRU secured its 17
th consecutive 10-win season. SRU is also in the midst of one of its best defensive performances in program history. To date, Slippery Rock has allowed eight goals; the single-season record is 12, which was set last year.

th in NCAA Division II in save percentage, 12
th saves and 27
th in scoring offense.

Rock goalkeeper
Annabelle Hegeman has allowed just three goals in her last seven games played, all of which came against Bloomsburg. For the year, she has been The Rock's goalie of record for all 15 games and has tallied a league-high eight shutouts, a 0.54 Goals Against Average (GAA), 56 saves and a .875 save percentage.

Andrea Felix has followed up on her breakout freshman season in fine fashion so far by leading The Rock in assists (eight) and total points (14) as well as scoring five go

Tess Keeley ranks second on the team in total points at 15 off of five goals and five assists. Other offensive standouts this season have included the senior duo of
Ali Brosky and
Nicole Krueger; the pair has combined to score 12 goals.

The duo of
Caitlin Binder and
Brooke Edwards are also enjoying career-years offensively. Binder has put together personal-bests of four goals, four assists and 12 points. Not far behind is Edwards with career-highs of two goals, four assists and eight points.

Scouting East Stroudsburg: ESU was ranked third in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in the organization's latest top 25 poll. The Warriors posses the league's top ranked offense at 2.8 goals per game while having allowed the third fewest goals per game in the PSAC (0.56).

Goalkeeper Jules Harris is 12-1 on the year with a 0.55 GAA, 49 saves, a .875 save percentage and five shutouts. Five different ESU players have scored at least five goals with Courtney Keller and Laurel Neira leading the way at six scores each. Brielyn Hackett, Sammi Jo Hughes and Shea Neal have five goals apiece. Amanda Vojta has set up the Warrior offense with a league-high 14 assists.

Scouting West Chester: The Rams, which are ranked 13
th in the nation by the NSCAA and play California (Pa.) on Friday before its Saturday showdown with The Rock, own the league's top defense statistically speaking after allowing a PSAC-low 0.47 goals per game.

Goalkeeper Alex Srolis has registered seven shutouts, a PSAC-best .472 GAA, 50 saves and a .877 save percentage in 15 games played. Parvel's two-goal game against Seton Hill pushed her into the team-lead for goals at seven as well as giving her a PSAC-high six game-winning goals on the year. Carly Yost and Marissa Valenti each have six goals for the Rams as well.

Head Coaches: Herlihy is one of just 11 coaches in NCAA Division II women's soccer history to have won 250 games in her illustrious career. In 20 seasons at Slippery Rock, Herlihy has compiled a 250-107-30 record, made nine NCAA Tournament appearances and won three conference titles.

Rob Berkowitz, who entered this season with a career mark of 69-50-16 in seven seasons with the Warriors, coaches East Stroudsburg.

In 28 years as a head coach Betty Ann Kempf-Townsley is 252-228-44 with stops at La Salle, Seton Hall and West Chester. Kempf-Townsley is 109-26-18 in seven years in charge of the Rams' program.

Series History: Slippery Rock is 10-8-2 in 20 games against East Stroudsburg all-time. SRU is 4-0-1 against East Stroudsburg since the 2010 season and is 3-4-2 at East Stroudsburg all-time.

At 14-7-2, West Chester is one of the few teams to hold a sizeable lead in the all-time series over Slippery Rock.
