SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team will travel to Edinboro Wednesday night for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference match at 6 p.m.

Records: Slippery Rock enters Wednesday's game with an overall and PSAC record of 1-1-1. The Rock is coming off a 1-0 loss to Indiana last Saturday, despite finishing the game with advantages in total shots and shots on goal.
Edinboro enters the game with an overall record of 3-1 and a PSAC mark of 1-1. The Fighting Scots are coming off a 4-0 win over Lake Erie last Saturday and have won three games in a row by a combined score of 8-0 (Shippensburg, Daemen, Lake Erie).
Scouting The Rock: Slippery Rock is outshooting the opposition 38-22 and has matched opponents with three goals each.
Freshmen have recorded all the points for SRU so far this year, with Andrea Felix leading the way with two goals and one assist. Dara Demich has the only other goal for The Rock, while Sam Thornton has one assist to cap the scorers.
Slippery Rock's back line is anchored by All-Region defenders Lauren Impey and Izabel Scott.
Scouting the Fighting Scots: Edinboro is outscoring opponents 9-2 and outshooting the opposition 75-30 through four games.
The Fighting Scots are led by Alex Brown with three goals, while Becca Costello has two goals and Jansen Hartmann has three assists. Liz Debo, Allyson Overly, Ashley DeVito and Lauralee Clements all have one goal to cap the point scorers.
Goalkeepers: All-Region keeper Dana O'Neill has played every minute in goal for SRU and is 1-1-1 with a 0.93 goals against average and a .667 save percentage.
Meghan Kelly has started every game in goal for Edinboro this season and is 3-1 with a 0.50 goals against average and a .875 save percentage.
Head Coaches: Noreen Herlihy, the reigning PSAC and Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, is in her 19th season at the helm of the Slippery Rock program. She has led the team to 17 consecutive winning seasons and owns a career record of 225-104-28. The 17 straight winning seasons include 15 consecutive with at least 10 wins and ranks as the eighth-best streak in Division II history.
Gary Kagiavas is in his 17th season as the head coach at Edinboro, where he has led the team to a record of 146-131-25. He has led the Fighting Scots to the PSAC playoffs six times and was named the PSAC Coach of the Yea on three occasions.
Series: Slippery Rock owns a 15-3-7 advantage in the all-time series. Both meetings last year ended in a 1-1 tie after double overtime, including the first round of the NCAA Tournament, which Slippery Rock advanced through after penalty kicks.

Erin Storck scored the lone goal for SRU and Karisa Fernandez tied the game less than two minutes later late in the first half.
Dana O'Neill made three saves in game play for Slippery Rock and then made two saves in the penalty kick shootout to propel SRU into the second round.

PSAC Gets Deeper: With the addition of Seton Hill and Pitt-Johnstown to the PSAC this year, the league now has 17 women's soccer teams, meaning nearly every game on the 2013 schedule will count in the PSAC standings. SRU will only play one non-conference game this season when it travels to Davis & Elkins Sept. 21.
