Momentum was swinging in The Rock's favor late in the opening half when the visitors took a 34-30 lead with 2:48 to play before the intermission, but those would be the last points Slippery Rock would score for more than 10 minutes. By the time Slippery Rock got things going midway through the second half, the deficit was too large to get back into the game.
