Rock volleyball falls in straight sets at Seton Hill

The Rock volleyball team fell 3-0 at Seton Hill in PSAC-West action Saturday afternoon.

GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University volleyball team (10-23, 5-15) fell 3-0 at Seton Hill University (26-8, 14-6) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division action Saturday afternoon.

The Griffins outlasted The Rock 25-20 and 25-19 in the first two sets before finishing the match in straight sets with a 25-16 win in the final frame.

Caroline Houston led the Slippery Rock attack with nine kills, followed by Kristy Lake with seven kills and Sarah Beals with five kills.

Lauren Rojek tallied a team-high nine digs and Houston added eight digs. Janna Reilly recorded 13 assists and Alexandra Fleagle chipped in 10 assists.

Corrine Gahagen paced the Griffins with 14 kills and tallied three service aces. Shelby Kyllo tallied eight kills and Cassie Hausfeld added seven kills to round out the top attackers for Seton Hill.

Slippery Rock returns to PSAC-West action at home Friday, Nov. 15 against Indiana (Pa.). The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Morrow Field House.
