SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's basketball team welcomes East Stroudsburg Friday for the first home game of the 2013 calendar year and will welcome Kuztown Saturday night for the final PSAC crossover game of the season.

Records: Slippery Rock enters the weekend with a 2-9 overall record and a 1-6 mark in league games. The Rock are currently riding a three-game losing streak with their last win coming Dec. 19.
East Stroudsburg enters the weekend with a 4-7 overall record and a 3-4 mark in the PSAC standings. The Warriors are riding a two-game losing skid and also saw their last win Dec. 19.
Kutztown enters the weekend with a 6-5 overall record and a 4-3 mark in league games. The Golden Bears are coming off a 68-62 win over Indiana (Pa.) heading into Friday night's game at Edinboro.
Scouting The Rock: Slippery Rock is scoring 57.2 points per game and allowing opponents 73.7 points per game. The Rock is shooting 33.4 percent from the field, 22.7 percent from beyond the 3-point line and 60.7 percent at the free throw line. Opponents average 42.1 percent from the field, 33.8 percent from long range and 69.3 percent at the charity stripe.
Alexas Brown leads Slippery Rock in multiple categories, including scoring (10.2 ppg), assists (44) and steals (24).
D'Asia Chambers adds 9.4 points per game, while
Erinne Cunningham adds 8.7 points per game and
Jazmyne Frost adds 6.9 points and a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game. Freshman
Erica Aiello has led the team in scoring in each of the last two games and scored a career-high 14 points at Shippensburg.
Scouting the Warriors: East Stroudsburg is scoring 59.4 points per game and allowing 61.5 points per game. The Warriors are shooting 35.9 percent from the field, 31.1 percent from beyond the 3-point line and 70.2 percent at the free throw line. Opponents average 36.5 percent from the field, 31.1 percent from long range and 67.9 percent at the charity stripe.
Jessica Martin leads the team in scoring and rebounding at 11.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game and also leads the team with 18 blocks.
Andrea Veres adds 8.8 points per game and Fayola Moise adds 8.0 points points per game.
Ryann Fiascki leads the team with 28 assists and Helena Gemmell leads the team with 24 steals.
Scouting the Golden Bears: Kutztown is scoring 66.5 points per game and allowing 62.2 points per game. The Golden Bears are shooting 42.5 percent from the field, 27.0 percent from beyond the 3-point line and 73.3 percent at the free throw line. Opponents average 34.6 percent from the field, 25.7 percent from long range and 68.1 percent at the charity stripe.
Ashley Wood leads the team in scoring at 11.8 points per game and has handed out 34 assists. Natalya Lee adds 10.7 points per game and Alyssa Bonenberger adds 8.8 points and a team-high 8.2 rebounds per game.
Advia Campbell caps the top players at 7.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Series: Slippery Rock owns a 10-5 edge in the all-time series with East Stroudsburg. The Warriors earned a 60-50 win at Morrow Field House last season and have won the last four meetings between the two teams. The last SRU win in the series came here at Morrow Field House during the 2005-06 season.

The Golden Bears handed The Rock a 50-47 defeat last season at Morrow Field House and have won the last four meetings between the teams. The last Slippery Rock win was a 63-51 win here at Morrow Field House during the 2006-07 season.
Head Coaches: Tanya Longo is in her third season as the head coach at Slippery Rock. Longo has taken on a rebuilding project with the program and has posted a record of 11-52 in her tenure at SRU. Longo came to Slippery Rock after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Division I Southern Illinois.
Maureen Smith is in her third season as the head coach at East Stroudsburg, where she has posted a 20-43 overall record. She led the team to a six win improvement last season to finish 11-15 after going 5-21 in her first season.
Janet Malouf is in her 19th season as the head coach at Kutztown. She is the winningest coach in Kutztown women's basketball history and has led the team to 279 wins. Malouf played for 1992 U.S. Olympic women's basketball coach Therea Grentz at Rutgers and helped the Scarlet Knights to the NCAA Tournament in all four year. She was inducted into the Rutgers Hall of Fame in 2003.

Box Score) Kutztown held off a late rally to hand Slippery Rock a 50-47 loss at Morrow Field House Dec. 4, 2011. The Rock closed the game with a 7-1 run over the final 53 seconds but could not complete the comeback.
Steph Zewe led Kutztown with a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds. Ashley Wood added 16 points and Andrea Sisson chipped in 11 for the Golden Bears.
Slippery Rock was led by
Danielle Smith with game-highs of 18 points and 17 rebounds.
Jasmine Cooper added 13 points and
Paris Thomas chipped in 11 points as the trio combined for 42 of The Rock's 47 points.
