SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team will look to get back into the win column when it welcomes Indiana University (Pa.) Wednesday for a 4 p.m. conference match at Egli Field.

Rankings: Slippery Rock dropped from No. 5 in last week's national rankings to out of the poll this week. The Rock is also fell from the top spot in the Atlantic Region rankings down to No. 6 in the region.

Scouting The Rock: Slippery Rock looks to get back to its winning ways Wednesday after dropping its first match of the year, 3-1, at Kutztown last weekend. The Rock, then ranked No. 5 in the nation, was 3-0 and had not allowed a goal entering that match.

SRU is led by Lucy Hannon and Stephanie Buckenheimer with two goals and two assists each. Caitlin Binder leads the team with four assists and Lauren Impey has one goal and one assist to cap the top scorers. Crysta Ganter, Shelby Ward, Alexandra Brosky, Kara Mullins and Izabel Scott have recorded one goal and Leslie Henny has one assist to cap the scorers. The Rock is outscoring opponents 10-3 and outshooting the opposition 41-36.

Dana O'Neill has played every minute in goal for SRU and is 3-1 with three shutouts, a goals against average of 0.75 and a save percentage of .800.

Scouting the Crimson Hawks: Indiana opened its year with shutout wins over Seton Hill and Wheeling Jesuit but has gone 1-2-2 since for a 3-2-2 overall record and a 0-2-1 PSAC mark.

The Crimson Hawks are outscoring opponents 12-9 and outshooting the opposition 106-61. The Hawks are led by Tonya Fabian with two goals and one assist. Rachel McCarriher has one goal and two assists and Brittney Kuhn has two goals to cap the top scorers. A total of 10 other players have recorded at least one point, including seven players with one goal.

Mara Hricik has started every game for IUP and is 3-2-2 with one shutout, a goals against average of 1.33 and a save percentage of .765.

Head Coaches: Noreen Herlihy is in her 18th season at the helm of the Slippery Rock program. She has led the team to 16 consecutive winning seasons with 10 or more wins and owns a career record of 214-98-24. The 16 consecutive winning seasons rank eighth all-time in Division II history. Herlihy is a 1992 graduate of Mercyhurst College with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine. She also owns a master's degree in sports administration from Slippery Rock.

Adel Heder is in his 12th season as the head coach at IUP, where he has led the team to the PSAC playoffs in each of the last eight seasons. Last season the Crimson Hawks posted an 11-4-3 overall record and were ranked as high as No. 15 in Division II. Heder earned his master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984.

Series History: This marks the 30th meeting in the all-time series, with Slippery Rock holding a 15-12-2 advantage, including a 2-0 win at Indiana last year.

Last Meeting: (Box Score) Slippery Rock posted its sixth consecutive shutout with a 2-0 win on the road at Indiana Oct. 11 last season. That shutout came right in the middle of the record-setting run of 11 consecutive shutouts for The Rock.

Slippery Rock finished the game with advantages of 10-5 in total shots, 5-4 in shots on goal and 8-4 in corner kicks. Goals were scored by Kara Mullins off an assist from Emer Flatley in the 14th minute and Shelby Ward on a breakaway in the 28th minute.

Lisa Rodgers earned the shutout in goal with four saves. Mara Hricik took the loss, allowing two goals and recording three saves.
